Chapter 2

They walked through the supermarket getting all the things on the list, Jay stood in the section where they sell condoms and was contemplating on getting them when Nick and his friends walked into the supermarket and saw him.

The presence of Nick and his friends always made them exasperated.

Dude is getting some condoms is like someone is finally getting laid and I hope is Danny, I mean I've never seen the dude with a girl. Nick looked at his friends and they all laughed. I know it can't be you Jay cause you've got a sexy girl and I'm sure you get laid like every day, so Danny who is the girl said Nick as Danny walked towards them.

And why is it your business who is getting laid said Jay feeling all agitated.

Dude I know you get laid, and you already have a girlfriend, but Danny I don't think he has, I mean I'm just curious like is he gay or something said Nick.

Jeez Nick what is your problem if he is gay do you have a crush on him, cause it seems like you are obsessed with him, always attacking him I don't know man I am getting curious now" said Jay as he picked up the pack of condoms and pull Danny with him before they could reply him.

Nick stood there feeling a bit defeated

They walked towards the counter, Danny sighed and said "Man I need to get a girlfriend and get laid somehow "They both laughed knowing that's an impossible task.

They paid for the things and left.

      Meanwhile, Mrs. Sheila went to meet her husband Mr. Henderson in the office, hey honey how are you, I didn't know you were coming said Mr. Henderson as he put his laptop aside to attend to his wife. You didn't know? How? I mean I told you this morning I would come later so we could go to the hospital.

Hospital again?  said her husband

Yes we need answers and the doctor who was in charge the last time we went was a doctor in training, so I called the hospital yesterday they say we can come today.

Well honey can we please reschedule it for another day, I'm really busy now and I'm so sorry I totally forgot about it, and please stop worrying about all these things, when the time is right things will fall into place said Mr Henderson as he held Mrs Sheila and kiss her gently.

Okay love just let me know when you're ready, when you come home we will talk more, since we are not going to the hospital. I guess I'll go to Kira's place, the boys have already gone for the grocery shopping said Mrs Sheila as she walked towards the office door.

Alright my love he said as he waved her goodbye.

     Danny and Jay got home and started unpacking what they bought.

I don't know why you let Nick talk to you like that, you are better than him in everything, basketball, you are more handsome and I mean girls love you, I mean I think he is just jealous said Jay as he continued to unpack.

You think I'm more handsome said Danny jokingly and they both laughed.

Although Danny was a bit bothered by what Nick said calling him gay and just thought to himself why he has never had a girlfriend. I think I'm ready to have a girlfriend said Danny as he walked towards Jay.
Wow that's my man, I don't know what you've been waiting for though said Jay happily.

Well, I can say I'm picky and I don't know what I want in a girl but I'll start looking now he said as they continued unpacking.

When they finished, they went upstairs to Jay's room. It was a very spacious room painted white, it has a basketball hoop attached to the wall, his bed was covered with a grey bedsheet and a black duvet, four pillows, two big ones covered with black pillowcases and two small ones covered with grey cases, a basketball laid on the side of the bed. And the walls were flooded with pictures of him and Danny, and two big portraits of NBA superstars LeBron James and KOBE BRYANT. A table stood beside the bed with a cute portrait of him and Claire and a lamp, and on the other end a reading table with few textbooks just beside the window.

They went in to pick what Jay would wear for his date, they fooled around and finally got what they wanted, it was a sky blue long-sleeve shirt he bought some time ago but never wore and black pants.

Then  Claire called and told Jay she was ready and waiting for him to pick her up.

Jay called his mom because he was going to use her car but it seemed like Mrs. Sheila forgot about it, she told Jay she was with Mrs. Kira and they went to the spa since his dad canceled on her, so she sent him some money to take an Uber.

Man my mom forgot I was supposed to take her car but she is chilling with your mom at the spa said Jay looking a bit disappointed.
Don't worry man I'll take you, I'll be your driver for the night what are best friends for, they both chuckled as Jay dressed up.

You look hot said Danny as they walked outside, Jay looked very handsome, his shirt was tucked perfectly under his pants and was held firmly with a black belt and black shoes that matched, the sunset rays were directly in his eyes and you could see how the brown in his eyes glowed. And finally, his hair fell perfectly on his face.

Don't worry I will treat you well today" said Danny as he opened the car door for him and they both laughed.
Danny got in and drove him to Claire's house, Claire came out wearing a very beautiful long royal blue gown with strings for hands which matched perfectly with what Jay was wearing,

she looks like a princess said Jay as he came out of the car to kiss her, she chuckled and he led her to the car, they sat at the back while Danny drove them to their destination.

Okay guys give me a call whenever you are done said Danny. Alright man, thanks.

They got to the restaurant, which was covered with beautiful lights. The waiter served them.

They ate and talked about a lot of stuff, so Jay went ahead to ask what the special thing was,
Don't be in a haste, trust me it will be worth it, my uncle owns this hotel and I got a room for us so I'm pretty sure I've given away half of the surprises said Claire.

A room you say, 'wow uhm ' that's cool said Jay surprised that she actually wanted to have sex, he became more and more nervous as he should have been excited but it's turning out to be the complete opposite.

They got to the room, it was a cozy room and she started kissing him without hesitation, he kissed her back as she gently pulled him closer to herself and held him tightly while pulling him closer to the bed, she lay down still kissing him and he gently climbed on her as they kiss, she started taking off her gown and Jay stopped, he told her to give him a minute as he rushes into the bathroom.

He brought out his phone and texted Danny "She really wants to have sex "
"Okay, that's great! You have the condoms right "
" yeah but I don't think I can, I mean I want to but I just can't "
" what do you mean you can't? don't think about it just do it "
"Okay thanks man "

Then Jay walked out of the bathroom to see Claire naked lying on the bed waiting for him, he was in shock but he walked closer to her, he climbed the bed and started kissing her but he was still fully dressed, she started taking off his shirt and he stopped and he said " uhm I didn't carry any condoms uhm so well... " he lied.

Don't worry I carried enough said Claire leaving Jay speechless. They continued to kiss and then Jay stopped again and Claire snapped this time.

" I don't understand Jay why are you resisting me, don't you find me attractive or what? We have been dating for 10 months three weeks now almost a year and not even by mistake have you talked about sex, since you refused to make the move I made it and you are still refusing me why Jay why " said Claire and you can feel the pain in her voice.

No my love you are the most attractive, beautiful and sexiest lady I've ever met, love you so much, I'm sorry I just panicked and honestly I wasn't ready but I promise I will make it up to you, you know I love you. he said as he pleads with her.

Claire put on her gown and told him she was leaving and that whenever he was ready he should let her know, she took her things and left with a taxi.

Jay sat on the bed all disappointed and sad, he went ahead to call Danny to take him home.

So nothing happened that's what you are telling me said Danny inside the car.

Nope" Jay replied.

Do you want to talk about it asked Danny as he could see his best friend looking all sad.

I don't even know what to say but I'll make it up to her said Jay.
