Chapter 14

Later that day Bonnie and Ben went on the movie date. Bonnie could not concentrate on the movie fully because of everything that was happening, her brother and his best friend are gay and they have been making out in the same house and she didn't notice. Ben noticed she was not fully concentrated on the movie or on him and he felt like she didn't like him that much. It was a long boring two hours for him and not so interesting first date. "It seems like you've got a lot on your mind, said Ben as they walked out of the cinema

" not really I'm just a bit tired but it had nothing to do with you. I swear I actually love this movie and I love the time we spent together and I hope that maybe we can do it again sometime."

"Really?" He asked

" yeah really"

" OK Bonnie listen I really really like you and I was thinking maybe...you..uhm... you would like to be my girlfriend?"

Bonnie stared at him in shock, She smiled and shook her head, saying yes, and then he kissed her. They went ahead to have lunch and decided to go for a walk since they didn't enjoy the movie that much.

Later that day, Danny went to Jay's place to talk to him about everything that happened. He knocked on the door and Mrs. Sheila opened the door.

" Good evening, Mrs. Sheila" he said with a smile

" oh good evening, my love, how are you? Said Sheila as she let him in.

" good ma'am, is Jay at home?"

" yeah sure he's in his room"

" OK thanks" he said as he walked to the stairs

" how is your mom?"

" she's good. Oh, and thank you for the pie yesterday. We really loved it.

" I'm glad you did"

Danny went to Jay's room. He opened the door and saw Jay sleeping. He walked slowly to the bed and sat down beside him, he stared at him for a while as he admired him sleep, a bright smile appeared on his face, and he gently caressed his hair, "wake up" he whispered in a soft voice.

Jay slowly opened his eyes and smiled. He placed his hands on Danny's and Danny softly kissed him on the forehead.

Jay sat up on the bed, he took a long sigh and yawned with a stretch.

How are you doing? Danny asked when their eyes met

Jay took in another deep breath before answering " I don't know man, everything is just happening so fast, I can't believe Bonnie saw us, and how did it go with Bonnie and your mom? Did she rat us out?

" well she didn't tell her so I think we're safe for now"

" you think she's going to tell anyone? We know, except Zack?

" I don't really know, but I trust her in a way, but we still need to keep an eye on her"

" We can't keep this a secret forever. We need to find a way to tell our parents. I'm sure they will take it well"

" We are not keeping it a secret. We're just waiting for the right moment. OK, let's do it this way, we'll tell them by the end of next week" said Danny

" next week?"

" yeah next week, we're going to tell them together, so we're going to host a dinner together, your parents, my parents, everyone"

"Uhm OK, I guess that'll be great"

" yeah, it will be great. We can tell them that we are in love"

A smile appeared on Jay's face and he replied with okay.

They sat opposite each other on the bed, staring into each other's eyes. Danny held Jay's hands and took a deep breath and said "I'm glad that it's you, I'm glad I get to fall in love with you. Have you all to myself. For a while I've known that I was different. I never knew I was gay, but I just knew that there was a part of me missing and you've been that part. You've been like a puzzle piece that I have in my hand but don't know exactly where to put it, I've held you all my life looking for the perfect place I could put you and then I realize that you belong everywhere. I love you Jay, I love the way you smile, the way you talk, the way you walk, your eyes, voice, scent and the way you're always ready to fight for me even when you know I don't need it. You always assure me that you'll be there for me, and you've been. Apart from being gay and being in love with you, I don't know what I would do with my life without you in it. You're my best friend and now my boyfriend. What more can I ask for? I am ready to tell our parents that I love you, whether they accept us or not"

Tears ran down Jay's eyes and he kissed Danny and smiled, he hugged him and Danny said " I'm sorry I didn't mean to be this cheesy" and he chuckled "No I love cheesy" Jay replied. They separated and Jay took a deep breath as he tried to wipe the tears off his face.

" wow you always find a way to flatter me with your words Jay smiled, I love you Danny, more than words can say, I've loved you since the first day I set my eyes on you, Since when I was eight years old when I walked up to you on your first day of school and gave you my coloring pencil, I knew that day that you will be my best friend, if I knew I was gay at that time I would've asked you to marry me. They both chuckled and Jay continued, "is like the universe wants us to be together to help each other discover who we are and I'm glad we did. I've known you for almost 11 years and no day goes by that I don't think about you, you've always been my better half, it has always been you and it will always be you and I'm so happy that now I get to spend the rest of my life with you and I will grow old with you by my side and I'll love you till my last breath. I love you so much Danny.

Love is a beautiful thing and at this moment, Danny and Jay are feeling it, there were so many emotions flowing through the air, they watched each other cry and laugh, giggle. They kiss each other because they know everything is going to be just fine.
