Chapter 8

     Danny and Jay have been best friends since they were 8 years old and since the first day, they knew they would be important to each other, their friendship brought the families together and also turned their mothers into best friends, they turned out to like the same things, basketball, same movies and video games, their friendship grew stronger as they grow older. When there was danger they became both swords and shields for each other.

Danny used to be bullied in school when they were younger and Jay was always there for him, Jay promised to defend and protect him for as long as he lived.

  They promised to live next to each other when they got married so that they would never be apart as kids. They will always choose themselves over anyone else, they comforted each other through thick and thin and nothing ever came between them because of the immense care and love they feel for each other.

They lay down on the bed thinking of what to do with their newly discovered secret.

Danny took a deep breath "So what are you going to tell Claire, it's now obvious that this was the reason why you couldn't have sex with her"
" I don't know what to do and I don't want to break her heart, and our anniversary is coming up and I promised her we would do it"

"Hmm bummer, but no rush, just take your time and do it right and give her the best anniversary ever and try the sex thing too so she doesn't suspect anything, we need to keep this a secret for now"

Jay sat up, just to process what Danny just said
" hmm ok" he took a deep breath "But what about our parents and Bonnie?" he said in a tone that sounded like he was about to panic.

" we will tell them when the time is right" Danny sat up too, he used his hand gently to stroke Jay on the back continuously to calm him down.

"Alright but how are you so calm, I'm freaking out"
Danny smiled "Maybe because I don't have a girlfriend  I need to talk to"

"Ha ha very funny" said Jay with a pout and they both smiled.

Thanks for inviting us over, it was really nice to meet your mom she is very sweet said Shawn to Zack as they walked outside. Shawn looked very gentle, had curly black hair and he had beautiful long legs with a tiny curve And he had the perfect face with a beautiful jawline with little freckles above his nose.

"You are welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and I hope your cousin did too said Zack.
" I'm sure he did"

Uhm Bonnie right? Asked Ben as he approached her.
" yeah I'm Bonnie"
" it was really nice to meet you"
" yeah it was nice to meet you too"
"So uhm I would like to catch up with you again, if you want. So I was thinking maybe I can have your number or something"

With excitement in her eyes, she said " sure" and he handed his phone to her. She admired his beautiful physiques. He looked a bit shy with a smile that could lighten up a room. His silky brown hair fell behind his ears making his green eyes brighter.

She passed the phone back to him with her number saved.

" Alright then I'll talk to you later he said and waved her goodbye

" Alright bye"

Zack walked to Bonnie, they stood together as they watched them go "Ohh they are so cute Bonnie" he said using his hands to cup his face.
"Yep they are, and Ben took my number, do you think he will write me?

" of course girl, he is clearly into you"
" hmm ok"
"C'mon let me walk you home"

For the many years Danny and Jay have known each other, they never noticed the beauty in each other's eyes. Not until a few days ago Danny could get lost just staring at Jay's beautiful Hazel brown eyes, he noticed how contagious his smile could be, and how cute his messy hair was.

The two became more and more mesmerized by each other's physique. The feeling of falling in love has finally hit them.

As the days go by Danny and Jay became more comfortable with each other, and they are happy even though they have to keep it a secret.

The semifinals were around the corner and they had to put in their best.

During their practice Nick being Nick refused to pass the ball to them just because he wanted to show them he was a better player and of course to make his father the coach notice him.

"Pass the fucking ball" said Danny furiously

Nick looked at Danny with the ball in his hands. Due to the way Danny shouted, all attention was focused on him and Nick."Oh you want the ball ? Come and get it" said Nick as he threw the ball violently across the court hitting Danny straight in the face. Making most of the teammates gasp, some using their hands to cup their mouths.

"what the fuck!" said Jay without hesitation as he was ready to pick a fight with Nick for touching the love of his life. He walked up to him and pushed him.

" Yeah Danny, let Jay fight for you as always you pussy said Nick with a smile.

Nick has always bullied Danny for no particular reason since in middle school. It has always been Danny, not Jay, not even for a day, always Danny. Was it that he feared Jay or was Danny just a feeble person? He never fought with Danny but he enjoyed teasing and bullying him. Although Jay was always ready to fight with Nick but Danny insists he didn't. Danny just felt Nick wasn't loved at home that's why he was always pissed. But nobody knew the particular reason why he always takes it out on Danny.

When Nick said that, Danny walked up to him just as Jay was about to hit Nick. He held Jay's hand "Don't worry Jay, I've had enough said Danny, "you want to fight right? c'mon, hit me Nick.

Nick stood still, he looked at Danny staring straight into his eyes while every other person gazed at him, waiting for him to throw a punch or something.

"Hit me, go on, oh you can't, funny 'cause that's what you've always wanted right? go on, listen, I'm not weak, I choose not to fight you so don't take me for granted"

Danny stared back at him valiantly, having this little feeling inside of him that Nick would never hit him, He was always filled with empty threats and Danny had just had enough.

"I don't want to fight you" Nick finally responded

"Oh you don't or you can't?"

"Just leave me alone"

" oh, I should leave you alone? That's funny, 'cause I've been asking you to do the same since the day I met you, you know what Nick? you are not worth it" said Danny as he walked out.

"Okay...okay that's enough" said the coach. This your silly fights are getting out of hand and I need your heads in the game, so suck it up and get in your positions.

Nick stood in silence while Danny and Jay walked out.

" man that was hot, that's what I've always wanted from you, to stand up to that asshole said Jay smiling as he placed his hand on Danny's shoulder as they walked to their various positions.
