Chapter 13

   
  Three  days later it was finally the day for the semifinals, everyone was nervous but excited, the team has to put in their best effort to make it to the finals.

In the locker room the teammates were prepared and ready for action.

Okay boys this is the moment we've been waiting for, go out there and show them what you've got said the coach, he continued "Danny, Nick and Jay put in all the best you've got, the whole school is counting on us and everyone gets ready we have three minutes til game time, and Nick please pass the damn ball. I will be waiting for you.

" yes sir they all replied"

"Okay guys I want us to put out our differences and work together cause we need this and good luck said Nick to Danny and Jay.

They just looked at him surprised that he was ready to put differences outside for the game.
" okay captain whatever you say Danny replied and they put their hands together and chanted
"GOO STALLIONS" which is the name of their team and they went out.

The basketball court was filled with families and friends and students from the both schools. Danny was so happy to see his dad, everyone was there cheering including Rick.

Jay's parents wearing a T-shirts with Jay's face on them, when he saw it he ran his fingers through his hair and he smiled.

Bonnie and Zack sat next to each, I thought Shawn and Ben were coming Bonnie asked.
" Shawn can't make it, he took his grandma for chemotherapy but Ben is coming"

"Oh okay"

" any hint on Danny and Jay?"

"Not really but the other day they locked their door and increased the volume so one could hear what they were doing inside"

"Hmm probably fucking" said Zack with a wink and they laughed it off

Ben joined them just as the game was about to start.

Danny and Jay did their lucky hand shake as the game began.

It was a tough game but they came out victorious, it was a win with THE STALLIONS   surpassing the opponent with few points. Nick, Jay and Danny scored the most points with the help of two of Nick's friends Bryan and Chad. The five of them carried the team. The coach was very happy and he praised them. Everyone was very happy Danny celebrated with his parents alongside with Jay's parents. it was a blissful evening. Mr. Parker was very happy with his son's performance.

Bonnie and Ben had a little chat after the game. Ben asked her if they were still going on their little date the next day and Bonnie replied yes.
" OK Bonnie I have to go now. I need to meet up with Shawn, so I'll see you tomorrow"

" yeah sure I'll see you tomorrow. Bye. She replied.

Ben left and Bonnie went back to meet up with her parents to celebrate with Danny and Jay. It was a fine evening and everybody enjoyed their selves. Mr. Parker went home so did Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, but Jay followed Danny home, he asked to stay a little longer to still celebrate.

When they got home, after having like another bottle of wine,Rick went home and everyone seemed tired. Mrs. Kira went up to her room.

Then Danny and Jay also went to the room. They were excited, they got to the room and closed the door. Jay hugged Danny "we made it" he said and giggled

Danny used his hands to cup Jay's face "of course we did " and gave him a kiss. Jay smiled and kissed him back, he kissed him on his neck as his hands find their way underneath Danny's shirt to pull it.

The door opened and they stopped.

Their mouth opened wide as they saw Bonnie, who was also in shock mouth open and eyes widened still holding on the door knob.

Danny awkwardly wore his shirt back, the silence was so loud you could hear Their heartbeats

Jay looked at Danny " what the fuck I thought you lock the door" he whisper-yelled

" no I thought you locked the door, oh my goodness" said Danny as he used his hand to wipe his face out of frustration.

" I knew it, I knew it,I knew it,Zack was right all along, so you two are gay, wait oh my goodness how long has this been going on? I can't believe my brother and his best friend are you gay, how did I not know? My brain hurts, she said walking into the room.

Danny gently closed the door " Bonnie chill, please I'm begging you just keep your voice down ,Mom might come out. I would like to explain everything to you later just please keep it down for now"

Jay walked back and forth in the room mumbling, "oh my God she knows, oh my God she knows,oh God, oh God" his hands started trembling about to have an anxiety attack. Danny noticed him immediately and hugged him whispering in his ears that everything is alright. He held his hands to stop the trembling and gave him a kiss on his forehead.

Bonnie watched them in awe,wondering how she missed all the signs before. She walked up to Jay "it's just me so calm down"she said rubbing his shoulder.

Danny and Jay sat on the bed speechless and Bonnie joined them. OK we are gonna tell you everything but mom can't know about it now said Danny.

OK, no problem. Your  secret is safe with me, but Zack is going to know, he has to know because he's the one who found out about everything Bonnie replied.

" wait Zack knew we were gay all this time and you didn't say anything" said Jay

"I think it's gay instinct" Bonnie said with a shrug " we figured it out and we just needed proof and today I got it, so go on tell me everything...

Wait is it that obvious asked Danny

Not really, everyone already know you guys are super close, I think we figured it out because we are closer to you and I really really know you two.

Danny and Jay explained everything to Bonnie and Jay left. They told her how it started and how it felt at the beginning, they explained to her that she can't tell anyone including their moms because they have to do it by themselves, coming out to your parents is a special and a difficult thing to do,is the moment your parents have to accept or reject you for who you are, and love you or hate you the way you are.

That night Bonnie could not sleep,her head was spinning, all she could think about was Danny and Jay being gay. "How did I not see this" she kept asking herself.

The next morning Bonnie and her mom were in the kitchen making breakfast, they were talking and laughing and Danny walked in, he looked at his mom searching for a reaction but she gave none. the awkwardness between Bonnie and Danny was so obvious, he was curious to know if Bonnie has said anything to their mother.

" good morning mom"

" good morning my love how was your night?"

" was good, I guess" said Danny as he walk towards the coffee machine avoiding eye contact with both of them

" what do you mean you guess you just won the games yesterday, you should be the happiest" said his mom and she tapped him on the shoulder.

" yeah that was amazing" he said letting out a forced smile

" yes boy that was amazing and I'm so proud of you"

" thanks mom"

" want some pancakes" said Kira already putting the pancakes in the plate

" sure mom thanks"

with the little conversation with his mom he knew Bonnie haven't said anything to her, he felt relieved, he looked at Bonnie and she just smiled at him.
