Chapter 8
I slowly woke up, a searing pain in my stomach. "She's waking up." I distinctly heard. I groaned as my vision began to clear. I could hear murmuring from around me.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You got stabbed." Monty said, "Bellamy bought you back, and Clarke performed surgery on you." I looked around me and saw Monty, Raven, Clarke, and Finn surrounding my bed. Behind them stood Blake, just watching from afar
"How are you feeling?" Clarke said, rubbing my hand soothingly.
"A lot better thanks to you." I said, trying to get up on my elbows to hug her. I winced in pain.
"Get back down. You haven't healed yet. You need to rest." She said. She gave me a hug and told the rest of them to let me sleep before leaving.
"I'm so glad you're alive." Raven said, kissing my forehead. I smiled at her. "Like it or not, Cassie, we need you," she said, holding my hand, "please don't die."
"I'll try my best." I said as she left, the other two left behind her after hugging me. Last of all was Blake. He stood there looking at me, not knowing what to do or what to say.
"Thank you," I began, "for saving me." He nodded at me, I reciprocated the gesture, before he hesitantly left, I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

A whole week and a half had passed, and I was fully healed. A lot had happened then, when I was passed out. For starters, Raven fixed the radio, we could now contact the Ark. Everyone was surrounding a screen watching Chancellor Jaha's unity day speech.
"My friends, this is a historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground." Jaha said, it was the same crap every year, this one slightly tampered with due to our situation.
"Right. After we did all the work!" Nathan said, gesturing to all of us."Someone shut him up."
"No one's forcing you to watch, Miller." Raven said annoyed, and people muttered, agreeing with her.
"You're right, Miller. I don't want to listen to this shit either." I said, leaving to the dropship. I sat down, twirling my necklace in my fingers. If my family did land safely, would I ever get to meet them. I thought.
Blake entered the dropship, the two of us haven't spoken properly in a while. Every time we talk, it seems to just be endless amounts of fighting.

Day after the surgery...
I was sitting up in the dropship, and Monty updated me on everything that happened. Including the part where everyone ate expired Joba nuts and had hallucinations.
The thing that had angered me most was Blake kidnapping and torturing the grounder. "Is he still there?" I asked Monty.
"He should be, Bellamy didn't let him go." It was an inhumane move. This wasn't who we were. I put my hand on the ladder to try go and see, possibly free him. That was until someone put their hand on mine.
I looked up to see it belonged to Blake. A face that raged me every time I saw it. I pulled my hand away from him. "You're not going up there Walker, he escaped anyway." Blake told me.
