Bellamy went into the vent, and I followed straight after him. We began climbing the ladder, hastening our climb. My fingertips sweating and struggling to grip, but I carried on anyways, "Wait." He whispered. He was looking through one of the vent exits he aimed hus gun through the gaps and released a shot. I furrowed my brown in confusion.
He busted open the sealed door and climbed out and helped me straight after. It was Vincent and a bunch of our friends, along with 2 dead faurds on the ground. Bellamy patted Maya's dad on the arm. "Good job." He reassured him.
"Miller, you okay?" He asked, I was completely oblivious to what had just happened. But it seems as if the guards had captured a few of our groups and Maya. Bellamy shot a guard down, and Miller had strangled one to death.
"Better than him." He said, motioning to the dead gaurd.
"We need to get everyone into the harvest chamber. You'll be safer there." Bellamy said.
"Safer in the harvest chamber?" Jasper said in disbelief, I do admit, it sounded a lot worse than it was.
"Just trust us. Where are the others?" He asked.
"Montys not with you?" He asked.
"He's on level 3 with the other groups. We moved them there after the sweep." He said.
"All right. Go on. Vincent will take you. We won't be long." He said. We were about to leave when Jasper stopped us.
"Hey, I'm coming with you." He said.
"Jasper." I said, hoping we didn't have to have the same conversation.
"I promised I'd protect them. That's exactly what I'm going g to do." He said. It seemed like no matter what we said, he'd still follow us. So we gave up, Maya followed to, after speaking to her dad.

We had been climbing for a while, finally reaching level 2, Bellamy climbed out, followed by me, "We don't have much time. The last 12 are on this level."
"Including Monty. Which way?" Jasper said, climbing out, Maya straight after.
She pointed to the left, "This way." I walked around with my gun poised.
"Attention. Class one quarantine protocols are now in effect. All citizens must report to level 5 immediately. Hard seal lockdown in T-minus 30 minutes and counting." It was the PA announcement.
I looked toward Maya, who looked panicked. She spoke to Jasper, who looked just as worried. "Guys, we need to get moving." I said, as they stood there conversing. At the same time, I heard the scream of a woman and a gunshot. I turned around. It came in the direction I stood.
Bellamy rushed in front of me, his gun aiming. "Monty." Jasper whispered, we start running in the direction.
"Slowly, " Bellamy said, "be ready for anything." We slowly turned the corner. There was no one there. Just a dead body with blood splattered on the floor.
"It's Mrs Ryan, " Maya said. "she was hiding the last twelve."
"Where'd they take them?" Jasper asked.
"It's got to be level 5." She responded, and her and Jasper were about to leave. Bellamy stopped him.
"No." He said.
"Get out of my way." Jasper said.
Bellamy tried stopping him because every single person was on level 5, and we would get killed. Maya, on the other hand, agreed with Jasper, telling us it would be impossible to get in once the lockdown started.
"Alright, but how do we even get—" Jasper was interrupted by a thump. It was Monty, and he came out of hiding, "Monty."
There was a terrified expression on his face, a hopeless one, "What is it? What's wrong?" Bellamy asked.
"They know about the grounders. That's why I hid." He said.
"What do you mean they know about the grounders?" Bell asked.
"It was on a soliders walkie, They're going for the harvest chamber." Monty told us. Panic settled in.
"If they take it, we lose everyone." Bellamy said as we rushed back in the direction we came from. He climbed back into the vent and rushed down the ladder. The only thing I could hear was the echo of everyone panting, completely out of breath.
I hopped out the vent after Bellamy and into the medical bay. The door to the chamber was left wide open. We ran in, and everyone was gone. There was one dead body on the floor.
It belonged to Vincent. Maya's father.
She appeared from behind us and moved her way to the front. She ran over to his body, and a loud sob escaped her lips as she fell to her knees, cradling the dead body of her father.

We were making our way to the door that led to the mine. We couldn't do this alone. We needed help. We had given Maya an oxygen sui. It had half an hour left in it when we finally made it to the door. It wasn't hard getting around. Everyone was on level 5, and Monty had disabled the cameras.
Bellamy scanned the card, letting us open the door. He opened it, and I was standing right behind him. "Bellamy." I heard. It was Octavia. She had pulled her brother into a tight embrace. Clarke and my father stood behind.
"Dad." I exclaimed, relieved when I noticed him. I ran up to him, hugging him tightly.
"Cassie." He said.
"Wait, did you just say 'dad'?" Jasper asked. My father lifted his gear to look at him, "Oh my god, Luitenant Walker." He said in recognition. "How?"
"It's a long story, Jasper, one that can wait for later." I said, hugging Clarke and Octavia. Everyone shared embraces as I looked around. Where was the army we were promised?
My dad approached Bellamy, "Thank you," He stretched out his hand, and Bellamy nodded as he was unexpectedly taken into a hug, "for keeping my daughters safe, both of them." They broke apart, and Bellamy looked him, then me.
"Thank you for having such a wonderful daughter." He looked at my father, "None of this would've been possible without her." He said, they shook hands as if they'd made some sort of deal.
"Where is everyone?" I asked.
"The grounders are all gone. Lexa traded her people for ours and commanded her army to leave." Clarke said, I looked to my father with a brow raised. He had disobeyed his commander.
"Lexa would understand, I would never leave without my daughter, Amelie and Izzy wanted to come as well. But Mel was too weak, so I sent them both back." I nodded.
"Please tell me you guys have got a plan." Clarke begged.
"Not really. We need to talk to Dante. Maya says he's in quarantine." He gestured to her. She was standing at the back, and beeping came from her oxygen tank.
Jasper went up to her, checking it, "There's supposed to be 30 minutes left." He said.
"It's all right. We'll get you a new one." Clarke said.
"But everything's on level 5, we can't get there, it's not safe." She said.
"We'll take the trash chute," Jasper said, "it will work."
"To get in, maybe. Maya's right. Every soldier in this mountain is there. We'll never make it out." Bellamy said to Clarke.
"We need to split up." Octavia said, going towards the door, "You guys get Dante, we'll help Maya."
