Chapter 13

I sat next to Raven, she was lying down as Clarke and Finn had told us what happened to them in the woods, and we told them what had happened in the camp.

Raven was screaming in pain as Clarke fixed her wound, "There, that should stop the external bleeding." She said.

"I don't get it. How did Murphy get a gun?" Finn asked, sitting opposite me next to Raven.

"Long story." I said.

"We're lucky, if Murphy hit the fuel tank instead of me. We'd all been dead." Raven quietly said. I heard the other three discuss the plan. The conversation went on. And it was usually Bellamy saying a point and then Clarke or Finn refuting it. Finn eventually got fed up.

"Look, we're wasting time. If he wants to stay, he can stay." He said and walked out the dropship.

Clarke began trying to convince him. "5 minutes ago, they were willing to fight and die for you." I looked at Bellamy, who was avoiding Clarke's gaze in a thinking manner. He looked towards me. "I'm afraid we're gonna need that again before this day is through." She finished and left the camp.

I got up and walked towards him, I hesitantly picked up his hand, "Whatever you chose Bellamy. I'm ready to fight or die." I said. "But you don't seriously want to divide us all. Do you? We could run and find peace. Or we could fight, maybe lose the people that we love and find peace."

"Fine. Cassie, but we need to talk." He sternly said.

I looked down, "Bellamy, the only time you actually want to talk is when we're about to leave to save our lives. If there's anything you want to say, you're going to have to say it later." I let go of him, to leave the drop ship and get my things.

He kept a firm grip on my hand, "Cassie." He said. I turned around, and he pulled me forward, making me gasp and used the other hand to hold my chin. His lips pressed against mine. It was better than the others. This one had meaning, and I knew what it meant this time.

It was electrifying. There was a warmth inside of me. It felt so right. My hands were on his chest and made their way to his rough hair. His lips were soft and plump. He kissed me like it was the last time he would be able to kiss me. We both pulled away. We both smiled, his eyes bore into mine. It was like I was filled with intense happiness and had no way to let it out. He kissed me on the forehead.

"Guys, I'm right fucking here." Raven scoffed. We both laughed lightly, before I turned to leave. "Congratulations though, you finally worked it out." She said, annoyed but genuinely happy.

Everyone was leaving the camp, me, Bellamy and Clarke at the back so we could make sure everyone had left. We watched the fire, "You did good here, Bellamy." Clarke said. I was standing next to him, he put his hand in mine. His hands were soft, aside from the roughness caused by scarring. A symbol of hardship. His hand was foreign in mine, but it felt like it was right where it was supposed to be.

"18 dead." He muttered.

"An 82 alive." I gave his hand a squeeze.

"You did good." Clarke said as we began to leave.

We left the gate, and we heard everyone talking about what they'd one to do once they reached the beach.

"What do you want to do when you reach the beach, Bellamy?" I asked him.

"Just... live a long, happy life. With my friends by my side." He said.

"Why are we stopping?" I heard Raven. She was being carried on a stretcher. She was right, everyone began to stop.
