Moments later...
While walking back to the park, Tobin decides to drive Maire home.
"Um thanks but, I think I rather walk home along with Axel." said Maire, as she admits. "Since we live close by."
"Come on, Maire." said Tobin, as she insisted. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes I do, but then again I rather walk." said Maire
"Well fine then, if you rather walk then I would rather walk along with you guys." said Tobin, much to Maire's dismay.
"Tobin, are you serious." said Maire
"What, if you don't want me to drop you off, then at least let me walk you off." said Tobin
"No, I think you'd rather just drive home," said Maire, as she insisted.
"And what kind of an adoptive sister am I? If I would've left you walking home by yourself." said Tobin, with a pout.
"Alone? But I'm not walking home by myself, I have Axel with me." said Maire, still insisting. "So that makes us two."
"Yes, but with me counting that makes us three." said Tobin, taking Axel's leash from Maire's hands. "Come now, Five. We shouldn't keep the others waiting."
"Dude, but your vehicle!" said Maire, pointing to Tobin's vehicle.
Tobin puts the alarm on, locking it.
"There, it's secured." said Tobin, walking away from Maire along with Axel.
Maire grunts.
"No offense, but you're a big pain in my-" said Maire, before being cut off by Tobin.
"Rear? Yeah, I know. I get that a lot." said Tobin, with a chuckle.
Maire walks home along with Tobin and Axel.
Once arriving at Maire's parents house, Tobin finally meets Aurora, Diego, and Gael for the first time.
"So you must be Tobin!" said Aurora, as she exclaims. "It is such a pleasure to finally meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine." said Tobin, smiling at them.
Tobin is welcomed into Hernandez's home, by Aurora, Diego, and Gael.
While in the family room, Aurora embarrasses Maire by showing Tobin all of Maire baby and youth pictures, much to an embarrassed and an annoyed Maire's dismay.
"Ain't she cute!" said Aurora, laughing.
"Yes, very," said Tobin, laughing as well.
"Maire never liked to play soccer due to an embarrassing soccer game that caused Maire to get hit three times in the face by her own teammate." said Aurora, as she admits to Tobin.
"Huh, so that's why she was a little rusty while playing with us." said Tobin, with a chuckle.
"Yeah." said Aurora
While eating chips and dips, Tobin was about to dip her chip into a homemade salsa made by Aurora. Maire stops Tobin before she could dip her chip into the salsa.
"What do you think you're doing?" said Maire, questioning her.
"Trying to dip my chip into Aurora's homemade salsa," said Tobin, replying to Maire.
"Are you nuts? You can't just dip into my mother's homemade salsa just like that?" said Maire, as she exclaims.
"Well, I'm sorry I didn't know that I had to be Mexican in order to eat Aurora's homemade salsa," said Tobin, in a sarcastic tone.
"That's not what I meant." said Maire, as she explains herself. " What I was trying to say is that The Hernandez homemade salsa is considered as one of the spiciest salsas ever. So, you should've started with it smaller than that."
Tobin squints her eyes at Maire, not believing her.
"I know that look. You don't believe it, do you?" said Maire, reading Tobin's look.
"What gave it away?" said Tobin, asking her.
"Everything." said Maire, circling a couple of inches away from Tobin's face with a finger.
"Well then join me. That's if you aren't too chicken enough to do so." said Tobin, with a smirk.
Maire snorts.
"I'm not a chicken." said Maire
"Then prove it." said Tobin, taunting her.
"Just to let you know, the two of us are going to be actual fire breathing dragons after this." said Maire
Tobin waves her chip at Maire.
"I'll take the chances." said Tobin, challenging her.
"You asked for it." said Maire
Maire grabs a chip and dips it in the salsa, with Tobin doing the same.
Both Maire and Tobin eat the chips with the salsa.
"Lier." said Tobin, as she calls Maire out. "I don't feel anything hot at all."
"Oh it's there. You just have to wait for it." said Maire
Not even a minute later, both Tobin and Maire started to feel their tongue on fire and their eyes water.
"Hey whoever drinks water, loses..." said Tobin, as she was spiced up. "Do... You accept my challenge?"
"Challenge accepted." said Maire, as she accepted Tobin's challenge.
As Tobin's eyes began to water all the way to her cheeks, she lost the challenge after trying to wash off the flavor of the salsa from her tongue.
Maire gives Tobin a water bottle, and the two of them continue to eat chips while drinking water to help cool down their mouths.
"So, so hot!" said Tobin, spiced up while tears from her cheeks.
"I told you, like a fire breathing dragon." said Maire, reminding her.
"Shut up!" said Tobin
Once cooled down...
"Anyways, my tongue is still burning but not that much." said Tobin, as she stated.
Maire glare at Tobin.
"Ya think?" said Maire, in a sarcastic way making Tobin chuckle.
A couple of hours later...
Gael and Maire take Tobin to the park, where she gets in her car and drives home.
