A few hours later, at Clara's house...
Clara is sleeping on the sofa waiting for Gael's call on Maire's surgery. Her phone rings at 3:00am (California time), Clara answers the call and is happy to hear that Maire's surgery was a success.
"I can't believe it!" said Clara, as she tells Gael. "That's just a relief. I better tell the others, and include the team!"
"Yeah, I know right." said Gael, through the phone. "Oh jeez, I forgot that it's actually super early-"
"Hold on, Gael I gotta tell the girls!" said Clara, as she hangs up on Gael's call.
Clara chats to the team admitting to them that Maire's surgery was a complete success, the team are happy to hear that. Clara however doesn't realize that it was still 3:00am in the morning and that she was texting the team really early in the morning. Clara continues to text with the team.
"That's great Clara!" texted Khole
"Yeah, with Maire back on the team, we can finally have a full team!" texted Nora
"Is she recovering here, or?" texted Addison
"There." texted Clara
"Oh, so we're not going to see her until she fully recovers." texted Brynn
"Yeah, it seems like it." texted Clara
"Bummer." texted Brooklyn
"Hate to break the news girls, but is Maire going to return to play with us? Before our next season starts, because from what I heard, Sabrina went back to Notre Dame after our last season ended." texted Nora
"..." texted Nyla
"Yeah, is she?" texted Reese
"Girls, I'm sure she is well." texted Gia
"Of course she will." texted Khole
"So, does this mean that we're going to have Coach Christen as our third coach?" texted Brynn
"No, sadly not." texted Alaia
"That sucks." texted June
"Well I heard she's ashamed." texted Maya
"For?" texted June
"Remember the Utah case?" texted Nora
"Oh yeah." texted June
"Anybody else got goss, about Christen?" texted North
"Well what I heard..." texted Maya
"Girls! Before any of you can figure out the time, after blowing up your phones in text messages, then I suggest that you stop texting." texted Coach Abby
"Aw but Coach A, we were getting into the best part!" texted Nora, while sending a whining emoji.
"Yeah, just one more goss." texted Maya
"Nope sorry! And besides, it's too early to be texting, since it's 3:00 in the morning! And because we have practice later in the morning!" texted Coach Abby
All of the girls send a whining text emoji.
"Gee, nice going Clara." texted Nora, while giving her a sarcastic emoji.
"Oops, sorry girls. I didn't know it was too early to start sending text messages. It's just that hearing about Maire made me happy." texted Clara, who finally checked the time.
"Nah it's cool." texted Brynn
"Yeah, either way we still have a couple more hours to sleep." texted Gia
"Yeah, because practice starts at eight." texted Maya
"Yeah, but Brynn and our family's morning chores start at 5:00am." texted Brooklyn
"Sadly." texted Reese
"Oh yea, speaking of the family's farm, say to Bruno for me!" texted Nora, with a laughing emoji.
"Oh right, how's the scar?" texted Brynn
"What can I say, it's like having a tattoo on my re-" texted Nora, as Clara finally closes her phone screen.
Clara yawns before finally falling asleep.
Just then, Nora started texting "Hey? Where's Waldo?" with Coach Abby replying "In England now go to sleep".
With Nora later replying "Oh, okie dokie". With a grin emoji.
