Your Raid and Your Promise ~ Chapter 39

"Let's get things all together!" Sonic announced. The heroes all nodded as they got themselves all ready. "Let's get our groups put together! As we know we're going through the plan that Tails and Shuichi helped provide for us. If we want to gain an understanding of what's going on. Let's go through the basic rules here!" The heroes all nodded as Sonic stared explaining things. However, Chrom just started dazing off and thinking about everything he wanted to do.

One thing that mattered the most to him, saving all the people who were being wrongfully experimented on. The heroes all looked at one another discussing some things. But then, Chrom heard a creak. He darted his eyes over toward where he heard the creak and... there was a door that was slightly open. Chrom looked at everyone and he went to investigate. He opened the door even more and realized everything that was inside.

There were weapons, everything was illegal. It was some sort of black market of sorts. Chrom slammed the door open and alerted the heroes. They walked over to see and saw the disaster that was inside the building. "Holy shit..." Sonic walked inside, there was no available light as it was broken. And nobody was there. They continued to examine the room as everyone else walked inside.

Kirby asked, "What is this... place?" Some of the heroes looked in the boxes, there were guns in one, knives in another and exotic potions.

Tails muttered, "This appears to be the black markets that are hidden throughout the planet. This must be one of them..." The heroes continued looking around as Hu Tao spotted something.

"There's this empty box that just says 'do not touch' and..." Hu Tao showed the box to everyone and it appeared to have one single thing in it. Chrom walked over and grabbed it and got a closer look.

"This is a despair potion," Chrom immediately blurted out. All of the heroes looked over at him in shock as they rushed to check. Chrom held it tightly in his hand, still not enough to break the glass. The heroes all just were there in shock. "This exact same... black market. Held the pollution spreading throughout the planet. No wonder Alfred said the pollution was worse here..."

"How... How did they manage to get their hands on something as outrageous as that?!" Shuichi asked.

Tsumugi explained, "There was some sort of despair potion that was created for those who weren't able to be induced so easily so therefore-"

"SHUT UP!"

"SHUICHI LET HER FUCKING TALK!" Chrom demanded. He covered his mouth and took a deep breath. "Carry on Tsumugi, I apologize for my foul language."

Tsumugi continued, "It was intended to torture people if they were incapable of becoming induced from the variety of ways produced. This was created as a last minute resort. However... it ended up backfiring hard I'm afraid. As this apparently got its hands on the black market. Thus being spread as an actual way for people to fight and do the person's bidding." Chrom stood there staring at it.

"We should take this with us. Which means whoever is watching over the escapees must hold this with them. And whoever that is... do not break it," Chrom explained. Link raised his hand as Chrom carefully handed it in a smaller box.

Tails sighed, "Now that we found the problem... we can create a solution! Thus the fighting will end and everything will go back to normal! Hahah! This is just a minor inconvenience!" Tails kept a smile on his face but soon that smile disappeared. "This is... not going to be easy however."

"That is the least of our concerns, let's focus on the raid," Chrom replied. The heroes all nodded as they dashed outside of the building. They stared at each other as Sonic stretched.

"Tails! You remember where the facility is?"

"You betcha!" Tails laughed. He dashed ahead as the rest of the heroes quickly followed behind. They went into the forest and examined the entire darkness that surrounded it. Soon they arrived at just the entrance of the facility. "Welcome everyone to the Grim Dark science facility, where they perform all of their unethical experimentations. No wonder this place is titled that way."

Knuckles muttered, "I can't wait to beat these people up."

"Not-a yet everyone!" Mario ordered. The heroes looked over as Mario proceeded to give everyone the important basic instruction they needed. Each of the heroes listened carefully to their roles. Then it came to Chrom and Shuichi. "You two need to-a make sure everyone is able to escape the building! Do we make this all-a clear!" The two nodded as Mario ordered everyone to get into their positions.

Chrom, Shuichi, Byleth, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shea were waiting in the back. The rest of the heroes were waiting to go in after they did. They had their weapons ready as Chrom took one long deep breath. Thinking about what was going to happen now that they were going to commence the raid soon. But he couldn't help but think of his time there.

"Le-Leave me alone!" Chrom yelled as he walked further back. The scientist kept staring at him with a wide smirk on their face. Holding a syringe on their hand and sharing their crazed look. Chrom kept staring at them and shaking in fear. Beyond terrified of what was going to occur.

The scientist laughed, "You won't escape what is considered the truth! You're Apolloyon's descendant with the highest blood connected to him! How can I NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE!" The scientist got onto Chrom as he looked at them in fear. He was breathing heavily, shaking also in the process.

"Leave... Leave me... alone... PLEASE!!" Chrom pleaded as he got onto his knees. The scientist didn't budge then they slammed Chrom against the wall and stabbed the syringe into his hand. Chrom screamed before eventually falling down in agony.

Chrom sighed, "Are you all prepared to bring justice to this world? Even if it's just a little?" All the heroes nodded.

"I got all the masks needed. We got seven boxes of one hundred. That should be plenty more than enough!" Tails yelled. The heroes all nodded in agreement as they waited for Mario to give them the signal. Kirby and Furina ran in from the sides and waited nearby. Chrom kept his sword up. Each of the heroes waited for the words to be announced.

"This is everyone. Remember as always to be as safe as you can be..." Sonic muttered. The group nodded as they continued waiting. "Any second now, we'll be given the order and we'll be off. To set our attack and-"

"EVERYONE AT ONCE!!" Mario announced. Chrom broke the door down as the rest of the heroes rushed into the building.
