Astrid and Magnus were walking through a new town, this time it was one located in Dreamland. The famously known Cappy Town... Magnus was watching each of the people of Cappy town cheering and talking with one another. He seemed disgusted by all the fun they were having. Astrid watched him as Magnus got his new gadget ready. It was the despair gas and all he needed to do was throw it into the air and hit it perfectly for it to spread rapidly. Magnus took a deep breath and then threw the despair gas balloon into the air.

Magnus whispered, "As more and more despair spread... it'll only be natural that the heroes will be forced to come to terms that this was going to be their demise..." Then he shot a spell right at the balloon, which caused it to pop and instantly begin affecting people. Magnus watched as the people in Cappy town were beginning to fight with one another. Even going as far to kill one another, such joyful people and only to be struck with anger and murder. "Heh, who would've thought..."

...

Lumine asked, "Marth... Ephraim... What happened to your eyes?" Marth moved his hair out of his face and smiled at Lumine. The heroes all watched him in disgust as Marth spun his sword around.

"You like what you see don't you? Of course you do, after all it's what the people are asking for! The despair of the century has come once more and I cannot feel more joyful!" Marth cheered as he smiled at the heroes. Ephraim nodded in agreement but all the heroes couldn't help but feel disgusted about what was going on.

Chrom mumbled, "This shouldn't be happening... the despair was cleansed when we stopped the system reboot... unless..." He looked toward Marth as the two came face to face with each other. Chrom slightly shook after seeing Marth's deranged state but he knew to keep his head up high.

Marth sighed, "Let's just say that with the new golden age! We will see nothing but horror! Shred those tears everyone because we know what is coming as the despair will show its true force and then... the destruction of Dawn will come forward..." The heroes all glared at him as Marth waved goodbye, soon disappearing from the scene with Ephraim.

Lumine asked, "Marianne? How do you feel at this moment! Do you feel hurt? Do you feel uncomfortable?" Marianne looked at Lumine and shook her head as Lumine helped her up. The rest of the heroes walked over in worry as Marianne looked at each of them.

Marianne apologized, "I'm sorry for getting you all caught up in my mess... I'm completely fine and I don't wish to bother anymore of your time. After all, you're all heroes and you deserve to spend time to figure out what's going on!" Mario looked away for a moment as Marianne tried leaving the scene as quickly as possible.

"Marianne wait!" Marianne froze as she looked toward Mario with worry. Mario walked closer to her and then looked at Lumine. "You seem to... be lonely. Not saying that's a bad thing but... knowing what Marth said has me worried. So how about this, why don't you stick with us?" Marianne froze there as she shook her head no.

Marianne explained, "Listen Mario, this is all very nice of you but you need to know that I'm fine... you guys seem to have plenty of help anyways!" Mario shook his head as he grabbed Marianne's hand. She looked down at him in worry as the heroes all gently smiled at her.

Mario ordered, "Lumine, you've been promoted from advisor to a team member and Marianne... I want you to show me what you are able to do. I want help just in case this situation worsens and so I just need you to demonstrate yourself." Marianne looked at Mario in worry as Lumine gently smiled at Mario. Marianne looked back and forth between Lumine, the ground and Mario.

"Okay... but I don't know if I'll prove a lot..." Marianne replied as she shook hands with Mario. The heroes smiled and began welcoming Lumine onto the team but right as they were doing so, they saw Ruby and Jade landing on the ground.

Mario asked, "Emperor Ruby and Empress Jade!" The heroes looked over and walked over to see what exactly they needed to talk about. "What is going on?"

Ruby explained, "It seemed as if there's a lot that's going on. But we had more reports of... more despair outbreaks happening all over the world. There was one in Cappy Town, Valentia, Valm and Brodia..." The heroes all gasped as Kirby dashed up to Ruby.

Kirby begged, "ARE MY FRIENDS OKAY?! PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME THEY ARE!" Ruby gently pushed Kirby away and just simply couldn't give him a proper answer. There was something still going on and it was going to get worse and worse as time went on. Plus Ruby barely knew the heroes so how could he confirm that? "Ruby... Jade..."

Jade explained, "The important thing is that you all need to be kept safe. You're the heroes of Dawn and... unfortunately we can only rely on you. We'll try to calm down the situation but there's no telling that this will... go as planned." The heroes nodded as Kirby felt tears coming out of his eyes. Eula picked him up as the heroes looked at each other.

Lumine sighed, "So there's more towns being affected but no entire kingdoms yet. So it seems everything is slightly under control..."

"But it won't be for much longer. After all, we're going to be the ones in charge of finding a way to put a close to everything. But are we going to make it?" Mario replied. The heroes looked at each other and felt themselves getting worried that they just didn't have the strength to pull through.

Tails sighed, "Well, it's not in the town nor in the city. But even so... the city might be the big target and once the city is hit. The entire planet of Dawn is vulnerable." The heroes nodded as they looked toward the bus. "Are you sure that going home is still the best idea to take?" Sonic looked at Tails before looking toward Mario.

Mario replied, "If the situation worsens... but it just keeps on getting worse and worse. So I guess we should get back home as soon as possible..." The heroes nodded as they got themselves all ready to leave. Suddenly... there was a loud explosion. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"

"T-That for certain didn't sound anything good! What is... going on..." Shea asked as she looked over toward where the explosion happened. Right there were gang members fighting, but they seemed to be... fighting to the death.

Mario whispered, "No... NO..."
