Dance With Your Demise ~ Chapter 50

Chrom looked up toward the vortex and saw what was being shaped. It was incredibly strong and the winds were pushing strongly against the heroes. Mario kept his eyes on the boat as the rest of the heroes got down. Chrom got himself ready and started running his way closer toward the vortex. However, he stopped after realizing the incredibly HEAVY winds that were pushing against him. Chrom was watching in fear as he looked up.

From there he saw the vortex continue getting wider and wider. Chrom looked at each of the heroes as they were looking at one another in distress. Chrom got himself together and put his hands together. He released them as he made a push toward the vortex. He slammed the chaos sword against it and it opened up a part of the vortex. The heroes rushed over as Chrom shot out a spell at the vortex.

"A-Are you sure you're going to do this!? The vortex is incredibly strong in comparison to us!" Tails yelled. Chrom looked over at him and then back at the vortex. He continued using all his force against the vortex. Meanwhile, Micaiah and Alcryst were watching in fear. As Tsumugi was keeping a close eye on the heroes.

Kirby muttered, "What can we do to help?"

"WE HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE TWO!!" Sonic yelled. He started spin-dashing before launching himself out of the water platform. Tails chased after him and grabbed Sonic. Sonic slammed himself into the vortex and it made an opening. Furina rushed in and jumped right in the open space between the vortex.

"F-Furina!" Marianne yelled.

Furina shouted, "FOCUS ON DISTANCING IT MORE! I'LL PROVIDE MYSELF AS A BARRIER!" Marianne looked back at the heroes as Kirby took out the water copy ability. He mixed it with his granted water powers and made a giant wave against the vortex. That pushed it aside for a bit. Kirby jumped in the space underneath Furina as Marianne jumped in the space above Furina.

Marianne muttered, "We're getting there but how long will we be able to hold this?" She looked over behind her and noticed the state that everyone was in. But then she turned her eyes toward Tsumugi. She appeared to be staring at the heroes in worry. The heroes all looked at each other. Chrom was still trying to separate the two vortexes with his spell but realized the magic was beginning to corrupt him. Byleth rushed in and shoved Chrom aside as he took his place.

"W-What?"

"THAT MAGIC ISN'T FULLY STABILIZED! YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF HURT IF YOU CONTINUE TO USE IT!" Byleth screamed. Chrom stared at him as Byleth continued to try to separate the vortex. The rest of the heroes got closer toward the vortex and started hitting it with their weapons. It was much tougher than they thought as they had a difficult time fighting it together.

Sonic grunted, "WE NEED SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO STOP IT!" The heroes looked over as Sonic started searching around. Tails was trying to gain an idea of how strong the wind speeds of the vortex were. However, things were appearing unclear to him. Tails' ears became droopy as the heroes continued hitting the vortex. Water splashed left and right against them. But it didn't matter; they needed to figure out a way to stop it.

Tsumugi continued watching the heroes and felt her heart aching after realizing all the mess the heroes were doing. She wanted to do something but she was told not to. But she couldn't stand around doing nothing, she wanted to help her allies no matter what would end up happening to them. She grabbed her thread and got down on one knee. Reminiscing over all the crimes she ended up doing.

"Of course you would be so idiotic to trust me!"

"Oh sweet bride... how would you like it if I did THIS TO YOU!?"

"I could never afford to be a hero no matter how much of a fan I am."

Tsumugi looked up and stared over at the heroes. Dropping her thread and watching the vortex. But she picked up an even stronger thread. And she threw it. It wrapped around the pole of the boat and she launched herself there. Tsumugi had also cosplayed as someone else. Which appeared to be... Alear? She was able to cosplay into someone she couldn't. She slammed the blade against the vortex and landed on the boat again. All the heroes looked over as Tsumugi took a deep breath.

"I'll PROVE MYSELF TO BE A HERO TO ALL OF YOU!" Tsumugi yelled. The heroes looked over and nodded. Shuichi hesitated but there was no time for that. Several heroes rushed in to take the spot as the separator. It appeared that the vortex was slowly beginning to disform. Tsumgui took a deep breath and changed back to her usual self. The heroes were keeping a close eye on everything as Tsumugi kept walking closer toward it.

Chrom demanded, "EVERYONE! WE MUST PUT OUR ENTIRE FORCE AGAINST THIS VORTEX NO MATTER WHAT!" The heroes all nodded vigorously as they got ready for the even stronger winds to push .

Byleth kept putting his entire force against the vortex as Chrom rushed in beside him. He was about to use a spell before the winds shoved all the heroes onto the ground again. Some of them rolled on the water platforms as others fell straight into the water.

"Nothing we're doing is WORKING!" Shez yelled. Chrom looked at him and then back at the vortex. It quickly connected itself together and released a giant air wave. It shoved all the heroes back and all of them fell into the water. Tsumugi started helping the heroes onto the boat one by one. Mario was assisting them as well. They all got on and were completely soaked. Minus Agent 4 and Agent 8 as they were in bubbles.

Marianne muttered, "The rain just appeared and is making the situation WORSE! W-What do we do!?"

"We have to keep pushing against the vortex! If we don't end up stopping it, how are we going to save our entire planet?!" Tsumugi asked. The heroes continued discussing ideas with each other as Chrom was watching the vortex continue to grow bigger and bigger. Chrom put his hands to his chest as he took a deep breath.

Chrom grunted, "We have to do something unwise for us to ACTUALLY get to where we want to be." The heroes looked at him with confusion as Chrom took over the boat. Mario got down with the heroes as Chrom looked up to the water. "Using the rain, the ocean, the boat and the vortex to our advantage... I think I got our solution." The heroes looked at him in shock as Chrom turned over to face the vortex again.

"W-What are you doing...?" Tails asked. Chrom looked at him and then back at the vortex. Chrom raised his sword and then put it back into his sheath.

Chrom explained, "I'm going to run this ship into the vortex. If we use our water powers together... we will explode the vortex but we will need to sacrifice ourselves in the process." A ton of heroes protested. "IT'S THE ONLY WAY WE CAN STOP IT!" The heroes all stared at each other and eventually settled on the idea.

Sonic announced, "WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SAVE THE ENTIRE PLANET!" The heroes all nodded in agreement as Chrom got himself locked in. He got ready and kept his eyes laser focused on the vortex. Then he started sailing the boat toward the vortex. The winds continued pushing through and tried to push the boat away. But Chrom wasn't going to let that stop him. Chrom continued using all his power to push the boat toward the vortex.

"WHAT ARE THEY DOING?!" Micaiah asked. Alcryst looked over in distress as the two wanted to get a better look. However, the wind levels continued getting worse. They fell onto the ground and they looked at one another. Unsure of what to do. Alcryst got up again and shot an arrow. However, it didn't go far.

Alcryst asked, "H-Heroes...?" Chrom continued pushing the boat toward the vortex as it proceeded to get closer and closer. The heroes started releasing the water energy stored within them one by one. Which only made the ship stronger. The waves got even rockier to sail on. But they kept on, PUSHING. Chrom kept sailing the boat and raised his hand into the air.

"NO MATTER WHAT I REFUSE TO LET DAWN DIE NOW!!" Chrom shouted. Then he rammed the boat straight into the vortex. The heroes were all stuck in the vortex and all held tight to each other. But soon the vortex exploded. There was nothing, but the emptiness of the ocean and the waves calming down.

Micaiah asked, "Where are the..."

"HEROES?!"
