This Damn Love

Part-38: A little problem

"Why did you stop me, hyung?" Jin yells at Hoseok who looks down in defeat.

"You see how they stoop so low and make Tae clean his shoes in front of the whole Namwon, where he is worshipped as God." Jin couldn't delete the scenes out of his mind. It pains him to think Tae had to do such things and he was unable to protect him.

Hoseok sighs. He knows Jin isn't completely aware of most of the things in Namwon.

"Jin, you have to understand. No matter how big Tae is, he can't deny Kim's authority in Seoul. He can't go against them. Namjoon and Taehyung clashes everytime. It isn't a new sight for the people of Namwon. That's the reason he asked you not to come outside. He doesn't want you to see him in that state."

"I don't like it." Jin grits his teeth in annoyance.

"Neither do I." Hoseok joins him at the table.

"Jungkook wasn't present there otherwise he would have never let Tae do such a thing." Jin pouts, eyes falling at the screen of his phone as he continues calling Taehyung.

"Even Kook can't disrespect Kims. Tae won't let him come between Namjoon and him. That's why Tae deliberately keeps him engaged in work while he fetches Namjoon alone."

Jin flips his phone on the table aggressively. "Why is he like this? I want to talk to him but he is ignoring my calls."

"He must be busy in the mansion. Kims are having a celebratory lunch with their business relations. Once he is free, he will text you back for sure."

Jin paces back and forth in front of Tae's home while glancing at the time that reads 10PM.

He sighs. Its not working at all. He doesn't like this feeling. He wants to see Taehyung atleast once before he retires to his own home.

Suddenly a message pops into his phone making him open the chat.

"I won't be coming back tonight. Umma wants me to stay here in the Mansion. Have your dinner and sleep. Don't starve yourself waiting for me. I know for a fact that you did not have your lunch so please, for the sake of my own sanity, eat something and sleep. I am fine."

Jin reads the last three words for ten times already but he couldn't shake the ugly feeling inside his heart.

Then one more message pops up.

"I love you."

Jin knows how endearing it is to bring these three special words out of Tae's mouth.

"Couldn't stay away from me?"

Jin gasps as Tae's voice slices through the shallow night. He quickly runs to hug Tae who catches him just in time.

"I was worried for you." Jin whispers, head buried into the sturdy chest of his lover.

Taehyung just smiled but that didn't reach his eyes.

"Your text said you wouldn't be coming home then how?"

"Easy. I just told umma I have some important work to complete and she let me go." Taehyung says while breaking the hug and facing Jin.

Jin nods, happy to see his lover making efforts to meet him even if he was stuck in some boring rich ass party.

Suddenly an urge grows within his heart as he grab a hold of Tae's palm. "Can I stay with you tonight? I- I feel lonely. Eomma, aunty Sunmi and uncle aren't going to be here for another week."

"But baby, Moon will be scared to sleep alone. You don't need to worry about anything. If you feel scared, you can just give me a call I will be there in no time, hmm?"  Taehyung tries consoling Jin. He knows Jin is new to witnessing what he has witnessed earlier but it's just normal for him. He doesn't feel offended anymore about what Namjoon does to him or how constantly he reminds him of his authority above him.
