(A/N: Sorry in advance for what is about to happen.🥲)

The words left Jin's mouth so quietly that for a moment, nobody was certain they had heard them correctly.
The hall fell completely silent.
Jin's voice lacked happiness. It lacked every emotion a person should feel when accepting a marriage proposal. Yet those two words carried enough weight to destroy an entire world.
Taehyung felt his heartbeat stop. For several seconds, he simply stared. Unable to process what had happened. How everything had unraveled so quickly. Just hours ago, he had been waiting for Jin to walk through those doors dressed as his groom.
Now he was watching the same man agree to marry someone else.
His ears rang and vision blurred. A strange numbness spread throughout his body. As though his mind was protecting him from the full impact of reality.
Then reality arrived anyway. It was merciless.
Jin slowly lifted his head. His expression remained blank.
The tears had stopped. The anger had vanished. Even the grief seemed muted now. What remained was exhaustion. The kind that follows after crying until there are no tears left.
The kind that comes after a heart has been shattered too many times in a single day.
Namjoon immediately tightened his hold around Jin's hand. The smallest smirk appeared on his face. He felt he had finally won.
Nobody dared to object anymore. Jin's uncle lowered his head. His aunt quietly wiped away tears. Even his mother remained frozen. Still in her daze.
He was simply moving forward as Namjoon began guiding him toward the altar. The very altar where Taehyung had been waiting. The very altar where Jin was supposed to become his husband. Every step felt like a knife twisting deeper into Taehyung's chest.
Taehyung looked towards Lady Hyuna. He begged. "Umma, please stop Namjoon."
"Don't you dare use my mom against me, Taehyung. Keep your petty tears to yourself." Namjoon looked back with a sharp stare.
Lady Hyuna took a sharp breath. "I can't do anything, son. Namjoon won't listen to me. Jin has accepted to marry him already. What right do I have to stop them?"
"Umma, you too?" Tae looked extremely broken.
Lucy walked forward and held Tae's arms. "Let that gold digger go, Tae. He doesn't deserve your love."
But Tae stepped back with a glare. "Don't open your filthy mouth today."
"Jin!" Taehyung stumbled forward. "No!"
The flowers scattered beneath his shoes.
His entire body shaking.
"Jin, stop."
His voice cracked violently.
"Please stop."
But Jin kept walking.
The distance between them somehow growing larger with every step. Taehyung broke into a run.
He almost reached them. But a hand suddenly slammed against his chest. Stopping him cold in his track.
Namjoon stood directly between them. Then he slowly leaned closer.
"Don't." The single word carried warning. His voice dropping low enough that only Taehyung could hear.
Taehyung's fists clenched immediately. "Move."
Namjoon smiled. The expression made Taehyung want to punch him.
