Taehyung stands before his own house, ready to punch the passcode, a light flickers on across the street, gaining his attention towards the illuminated balcony of Jin's house.
And then, there he is, leaning against the railing, a hopeful smile spreading across his face. Bathed in the soft glow of the moon, is Jin. He isn't in his sleepwear anymore, but a simple white shirt, a relieved smile playing on his lips. It is apparent that Jin has been waiting, for Taehyung's return.
Jin's smile widens into a grin as he spots Taehyung. He fumbles for his own phone, his finger hovering over the call button. Before he can hit it though, Taehyung holds up a hand, a silent plea for him to keep it down.
Relief mingles with amusement in Jin's eyes. He mouths the words, "Come down?"
Simply relying on the gestures Jin has just placed, Taehyung nods, a ghost of smile playing on his lips.
If Jin asked him to wait for him? Then who he is to say no?
Slipping back inside, Jin grabs a light jacket and makes his way down the stairs. Reaching the street, the cool night air washes over him once again, carrying with it the faint scent of jasmine from a nearby garden of a neighbor.
Taehyung is already waiting, looking a bit awkward than usual.
"Umm, what happened?" Jin asks, his own heartbeat rising for reason unknown to him.
"You tell me. You asked me to wait." Taehyung says.
He himself doesn't know if he is just confused or is trying to dodge the awkwardness building between them.
"But yo-you called me over." Jin fumbles, a pout threatening to form.
Taehyung tilts his head innocently, "Did I? I don't th-think so. You asked me to wait for you so-"
Jin's mouth hangs open. He thought Taehyung called him downstairs, or was he seeing thing?
"If you didn't call me then should I leave?" Jin points towards his house, mentally praying for Taehyung to ask him to stay but to his disliking, Taehyung just nervously nods.
Disappointed, Jin turns around to leave only to halt by a hand in his shoulder.
A smile tuck on his lips, as he turns back around facing Taehyung. He looks somewhat funny to Jin. Who knew a roadside goon can be this fidgety in front of a pretty face Jin.
To ease the growing tension, Jin leads them to walk.
Together, as they began to walk, their footsteps echoing softly on the cobblestone streets bathed in the silver moonlight. The air, once filled with the cacophony of firecrackers, was now a symphony of crickets chirping and the gentle hum of the city settling into sleep.
"How's your mother?" Taehyung asked, his voice laced with concern.
"She's alright," Jin replies wrapping his jacket tighter into his deity figure, his smile fading slightly. "The noise startled her, but I managed to calm her down. Thanks for stopping it, by the way."
"She needs her rest." Taehyung nods, his hand instinctively reaching for Jin's shoulder in a gesture of comfort, which he darts away upon realising what he has just done. Thankfully, Jin didn't notice it.
They walked in comfortable silence for a while, the unspoken bond between them a comforting presence in the quiet night.
Finally, Jin spoke, his voice low. "Lady Hyuna didn't seem too pleased when I doused the firecrackers. She must be thinking I have disrespected her."
"In my presence, no one can disrespect her." Taehyung's aura darkens for a flip second before coming back to his normal self.
"Let's just say she wasn't thrilled with your initiative. However after knowing the reason of your action, she isn't angry anymore." Taehyung chuckles softly.
