Chapter 6

Darrian and Max continued to grow closer. Darrian was at Kyle's house with Kaylie. She was upstairs playing with her cousins. Darrian and Kyle were in the living room. She got a text. It read.

What are you doing? I miss you. - Max

She smiled.

"Seeing someone?" Kyle asked.

"Unofficially, but yeah."

"He must be special." "I know there hasn't been anyone in your life for a long time." "Can I meet him?"

"You already have." "It's MJF."

"Max?"

"Yeah."

"Has Kaylie met him?"

"No, but she knows about him." "I told her we're friends."

Flashback

Darrian and Max were at the lake. They had sex. They were laying on one blanket in the grass and were covered up with another.

"I can't wait until you turn eighteen." Max said.

"We can finally tell people about us."

"Not only that, we can get a place together." "Come here." He got on top of her. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." They kissed.

Darrian meant it. She loved Max in a way she'd never felt with Greg. However the kind of commitment he was talking about, she was no where near ready for.

End Of Flashback

Darrian and Max were in his hotel room. They had a glass of wine and were making out on the couch. He broke the kiss.

"Darrian, will you be my girlfriend." He asked.

"Are you sure that's what you want?" "Kaylie comes with the package."

"I want to meet her."

"I'll be your girlfriend." "Wanna go into the bedroom?"

"Yes, but that would spoil my plans."

"What plans?"

"I want to go away with you next weekend."

"To where?"

"That's a surprise."

"Ok."
