Two months passed. Darrian was suspicious of Greg's behavior. He was being unusually nice. She figured it was the calm before the storm. Max didn't trust Greg either. He wished they could file an order of protection Greg hadn't done anything.

Darrian was four months pregnant and beginning to show. Tomorrow she and Sam were finding out the gender of the baby. They and Kaylie were so excited about it. It was night time. Darrian had just gotten out of the shower. Walking to the bedroom she could hear Max reading Kaylie a bedtime story. She went into the bedroom. Just as she put on her pajamas Max came in the room.

"She's out like a light." Max said. He put his hands on her stomach from behind. "I can't wait for tomorrow."

"Me either."

"You look beautiful Darrian." "So beautiful." "Come here." She turned around. They kissed and got on the bed.

The next day Darrian and Max were in with the doctor. Darrian was on the exam table

"Congratulations, it's a boy." The doctor said.

"Kaylie is going to be so excited." Darrian said.

"I'm excited." Max said.

"Me too." Darrian said.

Darrian and Max picked Kaylie up from the babysitter. She just got in the car.

"It's a boy Kaylie." Max said. "You're getting a little brother."

"Yay!" She said happily

Later that night Darrian and Max went out to dinner. Max was now driving Darrian to a surprise.

"What do you think of the name Gavin Maxwell?" She asked.

"I like it."

"Wait a minute, we're going to the lake aren't we?"

"Damn, I knew I knew I should've blindfolded you."

Darrian and Max were at the lake sitting on the car.

"Look down baby." He said.n

When she looked down sitting in-between them was a ring box with a ring inside. She looked back up at him surprised. "Are you proposing?

"Yes." "I love you Darrian." "Will you marry me?"

"Yes." He put the ring on her finger.
