Chapter 18

That same night Darrian and Max decided to tell Kaylie,  Max was her father after dinner. Both Darrian and Max still couldn't believe it. After dinner they were all in the living room.

"Kaylie, mommy and Max have to talk to you." Darrian said. "Mommy and Max used to date before you were born."

"Before you were with daddy?"

"Actually daddy and I broke up for a little while and I started dating Max." "In-between that time I found out you were in my tummy." "My doctor made a mistake."

"With what?"

"Remember the DNA tests we took?"

"Yeah."

"It says that Max put you in my tummy."

"Wait if Max put me in your tummy and not daddy doesn't that mean...

"Yes Kaylie, Max is your daddy."

Kaylie looked at Max. "Do I have to call you daddy now?"

"Not at all." Max said. "Nothing has to change between us at all." "I just want to be friends like we have been." "Is that ok?"

"It's ok."

Two days later Darrian asked Greg to meet her in a restaurant to tell him about Kaylie. They were at a table.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" He asked.

"It's about Kaylie."

"Is she ok?"

"She's fine." "We did a 23&Me test and it says that Max is Kaylie's father."

"The Max you're with now?"

"Yeah." "We dated after I broke up with you." "The doctor must've been wrong about my conception date."

"So not only is he an asshole, he's a child molester."

"What are you talking about?"

"He's your brother's age right?" "We were only seventeen back then." "He's a disgusting pervert." "I'm not gonna let him raise my daughter." "I'll do whatever I have to to do that." "You know I will Darrian." A cold chill ran down Darrian's spine. Greg got up and left.
