Chapter 9

Darrian was cleaning the house. Kaylie came up to her and handed Darrian two pictures she made.

"Thank you Kaylie." Darrian said.

"You're welcome mommy." "The one with the bunny in it is for Max."

"Aw, that's so sweet."

"Make sure you give it to him.""

"I will, I promise."

The next night Darrian was at the arena. The door was open and Darrian went inside Max's locker room.

"Hey baby."

She sat down next to him. They kissed. "I promised Kaylie I'd give you this." She handed him the drawing.

"Aw, tell her thanks."

"I will."

"When do I get to meet her?" "We've been together for six weeks."

"I'm still thinking about it."

The next morning Darrian was using Max's shower. She'd spent the night with him last night. Her phone started to ring.

"Hello?" Max said answering it.

"Mommy?" Kaylie said confused.

"Your mommy's in the shower."

"Is this Max?"

"Yes it is."

"Hi."

"Hi." "Thank you for the drawing, I love it."

"You're welcome." "When are you coming over?"

"Your mommy and I are talking about it."

"Good."

That weekend Kaylie was at Greg's and Darrian was spending the weekend at Max's house. Darrian and Max were in bed after having sex. Max looked at her and kissed her.

"I love you Darrian." He said.

"I love you too Max."

"Then let me meet Kaylie." "Please."

"I'll talk to her about it.
