𝐀 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 anxiety gnawed at Kimiko like an insistent pest. The tension in the air was palpable as she waited for the results of the Yuei entrance exam. Each day seemed to drag on endlessly, and the uncertainty was driving her up the wall. Every time the thought of the results crossed her mind, a tight knot formed in her stomach, twisting her insides with fear and anticipation.
She kept replaying the exam in her mind, scrutinizing every moment, every decision, and every move she made during the practical. Had she done enough? Were her efforts sufficient to secure a spot at the prestigious high school? The questions circled in her head, feeding her stress like fuel to a fire.
Kimiko tried to distract herself with her usual routines, but nothing seemed to work. Even her training, usually a source of comfort, couldn't quell the nervous energy that buzzed beneath her skin. The waiting was unbearable. Every time the mail arrived, her heart would leap into her throat, only to crash back down when the envelope she was hoping for wasn't there.
And-- Wait, wait wait. No way. Who do you think you're talking about? Kimiko Todoroki, stressed? Anxious? That's the biggest joke anyone who knows her can make. None of what was described earlier is true.
The redhead only thought about two things one week after taking the U.A. entrance exam. When will school end and if she can kill her classmates? The answer is no, obviously, but the girl was really tempted to push some of her classmates' heads into the water and let them suffocate to death. Allow me to put some context.
The day after the exam, Kimiko was walking to school as usual, her mind still replaying the previous day's events, which were the practical exam and the scene that unfolded in her room that night. The cold morning air nipped at her cheeks, but she barely noticed, too wrapped up in her thoughts.
'Well, back to junior high,' she thought as she approached her classroom door. She sighed tiredly, almost wishing that the principal could have given her that day to rest. Unfortunately, she wouldn't be able to explain to Fuyumi why she was at home instead of school. Bracing herself for another ordinary day, she slid the door open.
But as soon as she opened the door, she was greeted by an explosion of color and sound. Confetti burst into the air, showering down on her in a flurry of tiny, sparkling pieces.
"Welcome back, Todoroki-chan!" one of her classmates shouted, grinning from ear to ear. The whole class erupted in cheers, and a few more confetti poppers went off, adding to the chaos.
Kimiko stood there, momentarily stunned, her hand still on the doorknob. She blinked, trying to process what was happening.
"W-What's going on?" she finally managed to ask, her voice barely audible over the excited chatter.
"You took the entrance exam to U.A., didn't you?" another classmate said, stepping forward with a huge smile. "That's something we should celebrate!"
The girl only blinked, ignoring the excited shouts of her classmate. 'How the hell do those guys always know everything?' Her thoughts shifted to last year when one of her classmates came barging into the classroom announcing that their Japanese literature teacher was pregnant. The woman's tummy didn't even show yet and she hadn't announced it to them. How did he know? She had no idea, and she really didn't want to know.
