Dear Diary,

So... yesterday was interesting, to say the least. I've faced villains, been thrown across a battlefield, and somehow none of that compares to the stress of sneaking back into my house with crutches. Yeap, crutches... My leg was too injured to be able to walk without them.

First off, I got home late. Like, really late. The kind of late that screams, "You're up to something," but that's another issue. Anyway, I get to the door, heart pounding because, of course, I'm walking with crutches and making so much noise. The first thing that happens? The front door squeaks. A sound that, at that moment, felt like it could be heard from space. But nothing, thank god, no one woke up.

Now, I know I'm not exactly graceful on a normal day, but on crutches? I sound like a clunky robot trying to sneak around. I make it to the hallway, and just as I think maybe I'll pull this off... I knock over a stupid vase! Seriously, who put that vase there?! So, there I am, crouching (well, sort of) on one good leg, trying to scoop up the pieces like some kind of wounded ninja. But then I hear a noise from upstairs—Nee-chan.

I panicked. Like, full-blown panic. I threw a pillow (don't ask why, it seemed like a good idea at the time) over the broken vase and just... hobbled away. Super casual. Nothing to see here. Nope. Definitely not covering up my failure with a decorative pillow.

Then I had to face the stairs. The stairs. I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like climbing a mountain. And my room JUST had to be upstairs. My life has been doomed since then... About halfway up, I lost my balance and almost face-planted, but I grabbed the banister just in time. So there I was, hanging on for dear life with my bad leg swinging behind me. It was not one of my finest moments, let's just leave it at that. And how grateful Natsuo-nii or Sho-kun didn't see me like this... I would've lost all credibility I had left with my dear twin brother and I wouldn't hear the end of it by the other idiot of a brother.

By some miracle, I made it to the top and was this close to freedom. I could see my room. It was right there. But—because of course—my crutch decided to bump into Nee-chan's door, which just had to be slightly open. I swear, this house has a personal vendetta against me. I stood there frozen, waiting for her to come out and question me, but she didn't. (Nee-chan, you have no idea how lucky we both are.)

Finally, I made it to my room. I collapsed onto my bed, victorious. But, of course, this morning I noticed I tracked dirt all over the floor with my shoes, and Nee-chan found the pillow I left in the hallway. She asked about it, and all I could come up with was, "Natsuo-nii is the dumbest in this family. Only he would throw a pillow to cover something like that." (Real smooth, Kimiko.)

I need to be a lot more careful from now on. Crutches, stealth, and late-night sneaking don't mix. But hey, at least no one's figured out I'm a student at U.A. yet. Small victories, right?

Oh, and just when I thought things couldn't get more complicated, Principal Nezu dropped a fun little bombshell on me. Apparently, the female villain who injured me? Yeah, the one who did this to my leg? The authorities couldn't find her. Like, she just disappeared into thin air. Poof! Gone. Great, right?

I mean, we're talking about someone who slashed through my leg like it was nothing, and she's just gone? I don't know whether to be scared or just straight-up annoyed at this point. Principal Nezu said it with his usual calm, "Don't worry too much" tone, but it's kind of hard not to when the person who nearly crippled you is still out there somewhere. Maybe planning something. Maybe not. Who knows? Certainly not me, or apparently, anyone else.
