"𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐒! 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐘𝐀 ADVANCES TO THE NEXT MATCH!"

The arena erupted in cheers and applause as Midnight's voice rang out, her announcement echoing through the stadium. The crowd's excitement surged, their collective energy a roaring wave of approval that filled the air. Fans waved their arms and shouted, some chanting Midoriya's name, while others simply cheered for the spectacle of it all.

After all, what a turnaround it was!

Amidst the noise, a certain redhead casually leaned against the wall, her arms crossed over her chest as a nasty smirk tugged the corner of her lips. Now, how does the floor taste, huh? Guess a side character remains a side character. It'll teach you to mind your damn business. Yep, Kimiko was greatly satisfied with how her friend put Hitoshi Shinso—she learned his name when Present Mic announced the two fighters for this match—in his place, which means by getting out of whatever the purple-haired teen put him in and pushing him out of bonds by a move the girl didn't think someone like Midoriya could pull.

Below her, Jiro and Mina exchanged glances before turning their attention to Kimiko. The grin plastered on her face was so smug it radiated satisfaction like she had just won a personal victory without even being in the ring.

Mina sweatdropped, leaning closer to Jiro and whispering, "Uh... should we be worried? She looks way too pleased right now." She usually has this face when she's about to do something to Kaminari when he pisses her off... And she's totally not including herself in this.

Jiro shrugged, raising an eyebrow as she continued to observe Kimiko. "Probably. She's got that 'I'm mentally declaring victory' look. You know, the one that screams trouble for someone else."

Kimiko, resting her elbows on the barrier separating the seats of class 1-A with the others, still didn't glance down at them, her eyes locked on the field where Midoriya stood. Then, she finally spoke, her voice carrying a lighthearted edge that somehow felt sharp. "Told him to kick that side character's butt."

Mina blinked and then snorted. "Side character? That's cold, Todoroki-chan."

Kimiko finally turned her head slightly, the smug grin never wavering. "What? He said he was going to crush us. I'm just appreciating the irony of him getting his own ass handed to him." By a guy who didn't use his quirk, nonetheless.

Jiro sighed, shaking her head. "You're impossible, you know that?"

Kimiko smirked wider, a hint of playful arrogance in her tone. "Nah. Just right."

The pink-skinned girl gulped nervously at how the smirk widened. She's scaring me now... Wait, she's always scaring me.

As the two girls turned around to chat, they didn't pay attention to the subtle shift in Kimiko's demeanor, particularly at a faint red hue that lingered around her eyes, almost like a hint of flames simmering beneath her skin. Her gaze was sharp, yet there was a touch of something unsettling beneath it, an edge she hadn't fully shaken off from earlier.

Her lips, typically marked by their mischievous smirk, were now slightly bruised—an almost imperceptible hint of purple along the corner where the pressure from when she had bitten them left its mark.
