"𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡," 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐥𝐲, 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 his hand to halt any further movement. His voice, though steady, carried the weight of the situation. "You've done more than enough already."
Kimiko blinked, caught off guard by the sudden shift. Her eyes flickered to All Might, noticing the exhaustion tugging at his features despite the brave front he put on. He's bleeding like crazy from his left side, his hair is all messed up and this shirt will be going to the trash the second he walks out of the USJ.
"You would have been in big trouble if it wasn't for me saving you earlier," Shoto's voice filled the tense silence that washed over the group of students. "You're gonna need us."
Well, look at that. The redhead's eyes narrow as she glances at her brother from the corner of her eyes. Saving the very rival of our old man. How noble of you.
The pro hero only nodded. "I know, and I thank you for your assistance," he says, his gaze sweeping across the group. "But it's gonna be alright. Now, step back and let a pro handle this."
Midoriya's eyes widened as he stepped forward beside her, his voice shaking with concern. "But All Might, you can't—!" He faltered, his fists clenched at his sides as he tried to find the right words. "We can't just leave you alone to fight him! You're—"
"Fine, young Midoriya." He looked down at Midoriya with a seriousness that silenced the rest of his words.
"Head to the entrance," All Might instructed his voice firm, leaving no room for argument. "This is not your fight. You've done enough by surviving this long. Your goal now is to get to safety and take care of Young Kimiko's injury. Who knows what might happen if it's not taken care of."
Kimiko blinked in surprise, her eyes narrowing as she glanced down at her leg, still pulsing with pain and covered with black vines and blood that nearly reached her tibia. Tch... It's not like I wanted to fight to begin with. She knew by coming here that they'd only be a distraction. It wasn't their fight. Heck, it wasn't even in their capability to fight against a fabricated villain with multiple quirks that could withstand the number one hero's power.
She knew all that, and, by looking at Bakugo's frustrated face, she knew he finally understood her words earlier.
Kirishima, standing beside her, looked conflicted as well, his fists clenched at his sides. "We should listen," he murmured, his voice low for his classmates to her. "He can handle this. And we need to have Thirteen-sensei take a look at your leg."
The redhead only huffed. "Fine. Let—"
"Nomu, Kurogiri"
The twisted glee of Shigaraki's raspy voice echoed in the central plaza, interrupting Kimiko's sentence as they all raised their head toward the villain. For some reason, the redhead's heart was beating like crazy.
"Kill All Might. I'll deal with the children."
Huh?
"He's coming after us?" Midoriya whispered, his face draining of color as he turned toward Shigaraki, who was already starting to move in their direction, eyes gleaming with malice.
Kimiko gritted her teeth, her frustration bubbling up as Shigaraki launched at them. She could feel her leg trembling beneath her, barely able to hold her up. The small amount of energy she had left when walking toward the central plaza disappeared into thin air when she used her flames to protect Kirishima from the blue-haired villain.
