𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 class, his booming voice filled the training ground with a mix of anticipation and excitement. He shuffled the small slips of paper in his hands, preparing to announce the first set of matchups. Kimiko watched with keen interest, arms crossed as she leaned back slightly.

"All right, first match!" All Might declared, his enthusiasm palpable. "It's Team A... versus Team D!"

Kimiko's attention sharpened instantly. She knew who those letters represented without even needing a second thought. Team A: Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka. Team D: Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Iida.

Her eyes widened, and a grin slowly crept onto her face. She could already feel the tension in the air shift as soon as the names were announced. Izuku, who was standing beside her visibly stiffened, his face twisted in fear and anxiety. Meanwhile, Bakugo's reaction was the complete opposite. A wicked grin spread across his face, and his eyes sparked with a fierce, competitive fire. It was obvious that he'd been itching for this moment.

"Well, well, Midoriya," she began with a playful smirk, her tone dripping with mock seriousness. "Got any last words before you get blown to bits?"

Izuku blinked, startled by Kimiko's sudden approach, and fumbled with his gloves nervously. "Ah—uh, Todoroki-san, well... I-I don't intend to-to lose that easily!" he stammered, his face turning a faint shade of pink, clearly flustered by her teasing.

Ochaco raised her arms in the air, a wide smile plastered on her face. "That's the spirit, Deku-kun!" she cheered, her wide smile brightening up the room. "Show Bakugo-kun what you're made of!"

Izuku's cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink, caught between the encouragement and the overwhelming support. "Th-Thank you, Uraraka-san!" he stuttered, scratching his cheek awkwardly.

"Team A will play the heroes while Team D the villains!" All Might's voice filled the battle center, making the three friends turn their attention toward him. "Everyone else, follow me toward the monitor room. The battle will begin in five minutes after the villains have settled up."

When everyone else started moving, the redhead gave a casual wave to Izuku and Ochaco as she began to follow All Might toward the monitor room, her expression cool but a hint of playfulness still lingering in her eyes. "Well, I guess this is where I leave you two. Try not to get blown up too much, yeah?" she called out, her tone teasing but not unkind.

The brunette grinned and gave a thumbs-up. "Don't worry, Todoroki-chan! We'll do our best!"

Izuku nodded earnestly, his eyes filled with determination. However, he was still shaking like a leaf in winter. And he became paler than a ghost too... She bit back her laugh before following the rest of her classmates toward the monitor room.

Stepping into the monitor room, Kimiko immediately felt the buzz of anticipation in the air. The large screens displayed the layout of Ground Beta, giving a clear view of the upcoming battle between the two teams. She barely had a chance to take it all in before Kaminari sidled up next to her, an excited grin plastered across his face.
