Meera's hand went lower from his chest to his abdomen, holding the hem of his pants, making Sidharth slow down his kisses.

She was trying to open the button of his pants when, Sidharth pulled back and pushed her on the sofa now on top of her.

He intertwined his hand with her, kissing her ear lobe and places gentle kisses on her neck.

Meera's thoughts were a blur, overwhelmed by the sensation of his lips, his touch.

She wanted more-needed more. She pressed closer, her hands trembling as she again tried to reach over the hem of his pants with her one hand.

His hand left hers and went to the side of her waist, which was slightly bare. Meera felt the sensation a desperate desire to feel his skin against hers, to lose herself in him completely.

But he didn't move the hand on her waist as if he was asking for more, instead he was grazing it like he was trying to comfort her.

The intensity of the moment threatened to consume them.

Sidharth gently pulled back, his hands coming up to cradle her face as he looked into her eyes. "Meera, stop," he whispered, his voice soft but firm.

Meera's eyes flew open, her chest heaving as she stared at him in confusion and frustration.

"Sidharth, please," she whispered, her voice husky with desire. "Don't stop..."

He closed his eyes for a moment, as if gathering his strength, before looking at her with a mixture of longing and concern.

"Meera, we need to slow down," he said softly, his voice gentle but firm.

"Why?" she asked, her voice trembling with need. "I want this... I need you."

Sidharth cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing away the tears she hadn't realized were forming.

"I want you too, Meera. But not like this. Not when you're feeling vulnerable."

She shook her head, trying to push past the ache in her chest. "I'm not vulnerable, Sidharth. I know what I want."

He smiled sadly, pressing his forehead against hers. "I know you do. But I also know that right now, you're hurting. You are going through so much, and I don't want you to do something you might regret later."

Meera bit her lip, frustration and sadness warring within her. She wanted to argue, to tell him that she didn't care about anything else in that moment, that she just needed to feel something other than the pain that had been gnawing at her for days.

But deep down, she knew he was right.

He kissed her forehead, his touch tender. "You are so much more, Meera. That's why I don't want to take advantage of how you're feeling right now. You deserve better than that."

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she nodded, her throat tight with emotion.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief.

"Hey," Sidharth said softly, tilting her chin up so she could meet his gaze. "You don't have to apologize. I'm here for you, Meera. We'll get through this, you will get through this. But let's take it one step at a time, okay?"
