We started the car-ride towards the waterfall, Bella put on the radio and we sang at the top of our lungs along the summer playlist.
I have never felt more free than this.

I turned towards her as the playlist was changing its hits.
"Tell me about your College years..." I said turning down the volume.

Bella smiled sweetly as she started to speak.
She told me that she had won a scholarship, which helped her a lot.
She had graduated from Berkeley a year ago with a law degree, although she didn't tell me I was sure with an excellent grade.

In college she had made friends with a group of 3-4 girls and she was happy about it.

I was listening hypnotized as I got lost in her calm, confident tone of voice.
I could clearly see from the way she spoke that she was driven by an incredible passion.

In that moment I realized how different we were from a certain point of view: she is an extremely positive and hopeful person, even in challenging situations.

On the other hand, I am an helpless pessimistic person.
I generally sees life from a negative perspective and expects unfavorable outcomes.

We have the same wounds.
It's like we had known each other since forever.
I can't help this deep unexplainable connection.

But it's like she is the sun and I am the moon.

What if I don't measure up?
This thought haunts me.

"I spoke too much and now I can't even ask you why you choose to study English literature, Ellie..."
"I like listening to you. Don't worry, we'll have time for that..." I smiled.

That's still an open wound for me.
I was glad I still have some time to process it before telling her.

We eventually reached the park where the waterfall was.
Bella and I got out of the car and looked over a big map marking that the waterfall was in the middle of the park.

I laughed. "Bella... what if we get lost in there?"

"That wouldn't be the end of the world, sweetheart. Just you and me..." She winked at me.
I blushed.

We slowly crossed the path, immersing ourselves in the nature.
Around us only the forest with plants, tall trees and flowers.
I had never seen anything so beautiful.

Bella quickly descended the stairs and stood at the end of them smiling smugly.
"What are you doing?!" I asked her.
"I want to take some pictures, Ellie! Just keep walking!" She exclaimed in return.

I laughed embarrassed.
I was not used to someone taking photos of me as I would always find a flaw in my photos...

I laughed at some funny faces Bella sent me from downstairs while she was taking pictures of me.

"Is this enough?" I huffed hiding an embarrassed smile.
"Yes..." She said raising her eyebrows at me.
"Perfect." She added with a grin.

Bella showed me the photos.
I marveled at that vision, at my vision...
I had never seen myself so smiling and happy than that.

"You look gorgeous." Bella affirmed, smiling.
"Thank you." I said as I looked straight into her eyes.

She probably didn't know I was referring to something else.

I was happy because of her. Because she makes me feel this way.

When we had reached a beautiful spot with flowers and various lush plants, I took my phone out of my bag and winked at her.
