I took Bella's hand, we left the beach party and walked toward my room.
I can hear the sound of fireworks getting louder and louder or maybe it was just the sound of my heart...I opened the door of my room, we laughed, took off our shoes and ran to the balcony.
"That's beautiful..." Bella whispered, smiling toward the sky.
The fireworks are getting higher, each with different colors: blue, white, red.
She sighed, still looking at the sky.
"Time together has passed too quickly, Ellie..." Her voice trembling a little."We still have time..." I whispered, hiding my face in the hollow of her chest.
Was it true?
Bella looked up, her eyes drifting into the void, lost in thought.
I saw tears forming at the corners of her eyes."I wish we had more."
She affirmed wistfully.
Her voice was hiding her vulnerability."It's not over, yet." I repeated.
I felt like crying and wanted to scream.
Bella's hand slipped down my back, caressing it gently, I saw her eyes... they were so sincere...
I suddenly understand that I was not alone. I had never been.
In that instant, I realized I didn't have to be afraid as long as she was with me.Nothing is lost yet, I can feel that.
I feel something inside guiding me and it is stronger than me, I can't fight it.
It's happening again... just like when I kissed her at the The Blue Moon."Take my hand." I asked her, trembling.
Bella did as I requested.
I turned around, closed the balcony door and opened the curtains.
She watched my very move.I sat on the bed, still holding her hand tightly, she remains standing, facing me.
Her eyes flickered over me with a subtle desire and warmth. We gazed deeply into each other's eyes, caressing each other, gradually growing closer and closer.
I trepidatiously lead my face to hers, she stroked my cheek, our breaths mingled as we drew closer, almost instinctively.
We kissed- a long, slow kiss that tasted like passion and longing.
This longing only continued to grow...I lay more comfortably on the bed, as my breathing increased in intensity, I squeezed her hand and gently guided her toward me.
Bella looked me straight in the eyes and stopped.
"Ellie..." She whispered, her breath quickening.
"I know..." I swallowed.She understood immediately.
"We don't have to... if you don't want to..." Her voice had a soft, calm tone with a subtle intensity.
She wanted to protect me.
"I know. I want to. If you want it too..." I finally uttered my longing.
My heart is about to burst.
Bella nodded as a sign of agreement, but it's enough... and before I know it she is cradling me in her arms.
My heart was pounding, like those fireworks.
The room was softly lit by moonlight filtering through the curtains, the light was casted on our faces and on the bed.
The red of her hair it's that of the sunrise we saw together.
Like the fire I feel inside me... and that I can't put out.
