"Here" Luna walked back into the locker room, handing Alex the ice she had gotten for his now black eye but he just held it, refusing to put it on his eye "Stop sulking like a baby and put it on your eye" yet again he ignored her.

The girl sighed loudly before shutting the door and walking over to where he was sat, sitting with one leg on each side of the bench, mirroring how Alex was  sat, she grabbed the ice from his hand "Come here" she whispered, moving closer and gently placing the ice on his eye.

"You don't have to do this" Alex muttered quietly as Luna was trying to direct the ice in the best place to heal his swollen eye "I know but I don't mind"

Alex couldn't stop his eyes from landing on her lips, causing him to lick his own, the girl pretended she hadn't seen it. Pretended it didn't affect her the way it did. "Then why are you?" he tried to stop himself from asking but his mouth betrayed him.

"Well, you're hurt and I'm a doctor" Alex nodded before Luna added on "And besides, we're friends, right?" she smiled at him but he didn't respond.

After many seconds of Alex staring intensely and Luna trying her hardest to ignore it, he lifted his hand up onto hers and pulled it down, taking the ice away from his face.

"Can you look at me, please?" He practically begged the girl infront of him to give him anything. She turned and looked at him like it was nothing, like it meant nothing. "I ended things with Olivia weeks ago, we both did" he stated, a look of vulnerability in his eyes that Luna had never seen before.

But she shrugged "You don't have to explain anything to me, Alex" this wiped the look of his face, he just shook his head and looked down whilst mumbling "Yeah, I guess you could just act like you don't care" he turned away from her.

"I don't understand Alex, do you want me to be upset? I do care but this isn't about me" she responded quietly and calmly, the last thing she wanted to do right now was argue with him.

"Of course it's about you" he defended but she just shook her head slowly "You sleeping with Olivia has nothing to do with me"

Luna felt that kind of hurt that actually hurt. She felt as though she could actually feel the hurt in her heart. Like it was on fire. "I tried with you but you didn't let me, you blow me off every time I try to do something good for you" he practically spat at her.

The conversation had gone from one to a hundred in the space of seconds. She didn't even know what to say. "So you did it to get back at me? I don't understand what you want from me Alex" her voice slightly cracked near the end.

Alex wasn't sure whether it was his ego getting the better of him or the part of him that knew he could never be what she needed, what she deserved. So he replied "Thanks for the ice, Luna" before standing up and leaving the room.

She hadn't realised the tears in her eyes before one slipped down her cheek.

Luna had met up with George and Cristina who were heading to Joes. The three walked into the bar, being immediately cheered by Joe himself "All hail the champ!" Everyone in the bar cheered, Cristina and Luna looked at eachother, both visibly confused.
