George, Izzie, Luna and Alex were sat on the floor of their locker room, lined up against a set of lockers. "I feel colours are brighter, does anyone feel like colours are brighter? My head hurts" George asked/stated like it was important.

"It's adrenaline, you have the smell thing, cause I have this like crazy" Alex began but was cut off by Izzie who shouted "Shut up!"

George turned to her "Are you okay?" but Izzie was on one "Would you two just shut up? Nobody cares if the blue is bluer or if you have super smelling powers! Meredith could die, any minute she could just ... die, actually stop living ... dead ... corpse"

Luna rubbed a hand against her eyes "Izzie" but Izzie started laughing "I'm sorry, sorry, God, I have really inappropriate reactions to this kind of stress, I'm sorry"

Luna was too upset to even consider laughing. Meredith was part of her family and after hearing what happened when her and Alex left that floor, she couldn't think straight.

"Should we, should we like do something? Call Meredith's family?" Alex asked, his hand was still interlocked with Lunas, rubbing his finger against her hand to soothe her.

"We are Meredith's family" The youngest intern mumbled before standing up and leaving the room, not being able to listen to anymore. Alex sighed before standing up and following after her.

Alex sat down beside where Luna sat in an empty storage room. She sat staring directly at the wall infront of her, clearly zoned out.

Once he was sat beside her, she leaned her head on his shoulder and the two of them sat in silence for a moment. "I'm sorry for shrugging you off this morning" she muttered.

Alex nodded slowly before trying to comfort her "You can talk to me when you're ready" he could tell there was something on her mind all day but wanted to wait until she was ready to acknowledge what happened this morning before mentioning it.

"I'm not broken or lonely or sad and I don't want you to pity me" she stated, confusion covered his face in response but he slowly nodded anyway.

"I promise" he replied before she held her pinky out, he quickly interlocked his with hers, knowing how important it was to her.

"I don't have a family, they died when I was young and today is the anniversary" she let out a deep sigh at the end before lifting her head and looking towards Alex who was listening closely.

"I had four brothers, my mom and my dad of course and we weren't a normal family" Luna was fidgeting with her hands, talking about this specific topic made her nervous.

"I'm a triplet" she turned to Alex and sent him a small smile with a nod "Me and my two brothers and then I had a set of twin brothers, apparently it runs in the family" she chuckled, trying to make light of the situation.

She placed her hand in Alex's lap, latching on to his hand "February 22nd 1997" she paused again "There was a fire, I survived, they didn't" she sent him another warm smile.
