It was thanksgiving, which was usually a day Luna wanted no part of. It had always been a painful reminder of her lack of family, however, this was her first thanksgiving in nearly a decade where she felt that she had a real family.

She was sat flicking through a cookbook as Izzie struggled to manage the turkey; eventually throwing it into the sink. "I don't think there's a page that recommends throwing the turkey in the sink but I don't know, maybe I gotta read in between the lines"

"Hey" she whipped her head up to see Izzie had left the room and was speaking to Meredith who looked as though she was trying to sneak out. "What do you think you're doing?" she followed up.

The doorbell rung "Uh....answering the door" Meredith lied but Izzie had already seen what was in her hand "You're going to the hospital?"

Luna stood up and walked over to the door, humming as her slipped scraped against the floor, she opened it, being greeted by 3 men, two seemingly young and the other one slightly older.

"Hello" Luna greeted with a smile "Is this where Georgie lives?" the older man asked, Meredith tilted her head "Georgie?"

"O'Malley, where is he, upstairs?" Luna nodded "Uh, should be" the men then walked in and shut the door behind them "O'Malley!" the eldest shouted.

"Who are you?" One of the younger men asked her with a smile, she smiled back "Luna" he nodded before following the other two up the stairs, they were all chanting 'O'Malley'

"Uh, should I call the police?" Izzie asked, her and Luna watched as the men stomped up the stairs whilst Meredith took this as an opportunity to escape quickly.

The sound of the door closing causing the two to look in that direction "Meredith, I'm serious! You need to be back here for dinner at 6, I mean it!" the blonde yelled at her before turning to the brunette beside her.

"We can do this" Luna pursed her lips and walked towards the kitchen.

"You know, I'm sure nobody will mind if there's no thanksgiving dinner at all" Luna uttered, watching Izzie waltz around the kitchen as if she had no clue what she was doing.

"No, no, no! Okay? We are having a thanksgiving dinner if it's the last thing I do"

"I'm just saying, it's not worth stressing over, this day is about the people you share it with" Luna tried to reason with her.

"Does that mean Alex is coming?"

The brunette closed the book she was flicking through and looked up to the girl infront of her "He doesn't have to if you don't want him to, I just figured the more the merrier"

Izzie sighed "I'm not gonna keep you away from him on thanksgiving, Luna"

Luna nodded "I know....besides, I'll be spending most of the day with you anyways so we uh- we don't have to talk about Alex or think about Alex right now, okay?"
