19: The Votarist, Errand
Alt. Title: William wants a raise.

"My, my, the young master's temper is quite fiery."

Devanshu began to walk, planning to finish all chores for today in one hour. After all, he promised a certain devil that he could have more turns today. He wouldn't want to disappoint him now, would he?

The votarist's footsteps echoed in the hall, followed by his hums.

Now that I've returned Charles Grey, all I have in my hands is Sir Sebastian. Pity; it would have been fun if I took Charles Grey out on a walk.

Several taps on the desk resounded in the earl's office.

"Do you understand, Ravi," the little earl's grim tone was rarely heard in the mansion. Yet, today, he revealed such an expression as if they were headed for war. "You must remember to receive it on your way back."

"Yes, young master. I shall fulfill my duties as a Phantomhive butler."

Ciel Phantomhive nodded in approval, releasing the tension in his body and leaning against the back of the chair. Fortunately, this butler of his could be quite obedient when need be.

My dessert for dinner will be quite mouthwatering.

If someone were to hear the little earl's thoughts, they would think that ah, this earl is still a child at heart.

His butler's task for the day was to receive the strawberries that Ciel purchased from the east. He heard rumors that oriental strawberries have been in demand in the market for a while now. In fact, Elizabeth had sent over a basket over a week ago.

Ciel still remembered the sickeningly sweet and mouthwatering taste of the dessert with oriental strawberry. It lingered on his tongue the whole day, as if the fruit refused to leave his taste buds.

Hence, the young earl ordered several batches.

And since Sebastian was occupied with other tasks, and he did not have the heart to let the other servants do this important task lest something... unsavory happens, so it was up to Ravi!

Anyway, Ravi already had an errand to run for the day and picking up the strawberries would not be such a bothersome task on his way back, right? Besides, that fool would enjoy the fruits himself so Ciel had nothing to worry about.

Ravi would certainly take great care of them.

...

Ah.

The weather seemed lively today.

Not too hot, not too cold.

Not too cloudy, not too sunny.

The breeze was gentle and soothing.

However...

Ravi Sinclaire's smile seemed to be missing from his lips. That stunning, loving smile that often softened the heart of humans was nowhere in sight. Why, you ask?

Well... the butler's eyes landed on the head full of red hair, long and silky like the grand curtains in theaters. Each strand was taken care of greatly like a newborn baby.

"Hey!" That head of red hair turned around, revealing a delicate yet fierce expression. "Dear Will, darling Ravi!~" Her fierceness dissipated in an instant, acting coquettish and clinging onto a certain butler's arm. "There's a stunning fan over there. Buy it for me~"
