"so, how's firefighter life?" Aurelia's best friend Sofia asks.
Aurelia set her laptop on the kitchen counter grabbing Pongo's food from the fridge, "it's fine. i got today and tomorrow off cause i needed to figure some things out with some stuff i left in Spain."
"and? how'd that go?"
"good. they're getting mailed here so i should have it in a few days. how'd the date with future husband go?" Aurelia asks grabbing the bowl.
"eh, he sucked. but i got to talking with the bartender and i think i love her." Sofia grinned at her best friend making her laugh.
"what's her name?"
"Veronica. you'll love her she's nice and funny and gorgeous," Sofia tells her, "i miss you, though."
Aurelia called Pongo setting his bowl on the floor looking back at her computer frowning, Sofia was the only friend Aurelia had, sure she had a few acquaintances when she was in school but nobody understood her like Sofia, "i miss you too. i love, L.A. but running around the streets of Madrid with you is something i miss so much."
Sofia tried to hide her smile walking through the apartment building with Buck ahead of her who was smiling. while he had spent a few days with Aurelia after the earthquake, the three spoke a lot in those few days which then turned to Buck asking Sofia help to surprise Aurelia since she was also wanting to move.
a knock came from the door as Aurelia put the food back in the fridge opening the door seeing Buck with a big smile on his face, "hi."
"hi." she smiled hugging him, Buck picked her up rushing into her home.
"why do you always have to carry me?" Aurelia laughed as he set her back down in front of the computer screen.
"cause i can. hey, Sofia." Buck smiled at the laptop.
"hey."
Aurelia heard her voice loud and clear as Sofia flipped her camera around showing the two standing in the kitchen. her eyes widened at the screen turning around seeing Sofia standing right in front of her door. Aurelia screamed running towards her best friend jumping in her arms hugging her tightly, Sofia laughed catching the redhead squeezing her. Buck filmed from his phone smiling at the two girls, he knew how much Sofia meant to Aurelia and seeing her happy was something he'd always love to see.
"what the hell are you doing here?" Aurelia wiped the tears off her cheeks.
"i live here!" the short dark haired girl replied, "well not in your apartment but next door. Evan actually planned this all out since i wanted to move and decided to surprise you."
