Bobby held the door open for the girl carrying her bag in his hand, picking at her nails Aurelia looked around the apartment. it was a lot bigger than her old place, there was also a view of Minnesota she had never seen before. Bobby shut the door setting her bag down on the kitchen counter watching her walk around the room standing in front of the window taking in the view.
"wait until the sunsets. it's beautiful." Bobby tells her, she turned around smiling walking back towards him.
"this is ours?" thirteen year old Aurelia asks.
"all ours." Bobby smiled at her, Aurelia walked towards him and hugged him tightly which surprised him.
Bobby hugged her back, holding the back of her head and rubbed her back, "wanna help me with dinner?"
"yeah." Aurelia pulled away.
Bobby couldn't help but smile at her, in the few months it had taken him to gain her trust and fully adopt Aurelia the two gained a bond like no other. he was worried it wasn't going to be easy at first but with time everything went perfect. once dinner was finished the two sat at the table eating quietly when Bobby pulled out a paper.
"what's that?" Aurelia asks.
"it's the address and number to the fire station. see? so if you ever need anything you can come after school or call me and i'll be there, that okay?" Bobby handed her the paper, Aurelia took it looking over it nodding her head.
"i mean it, kid. you call me if you ever need anything okay?" Bobby assured her.
a slow smile appeared on the girls face, "okay."

"i'm glad my brother finally brought you around. i've been asking him to bring you for weeks." Maddie says to Aurelia setting a box down in her bedroom.
Aurelia set another box down smiling at her hearing the boys outside, "i managed to convince him and i'm gonna go make sure they don't break your couch."
Maddie laughed watching Aurelia rush out of the room and downstairs meeting the two boys outside who were both standing in front of the couch, "maybe we pop the hinges off the door." she hears Eddie's voice.
"or we use the Jaws of Life." Buck says while Eddie held up a finger liking the idea.
"good luck telling dad, that." Aurelia joined the two outside.
