  "help!"

twelve year old Aurelia screamed out from a corner of her living room. her eyes wide not looking away from the fire, the piles of envelopes with rent due, eviction notices and so much more. she stepped closer to try to reach the door but it was no use, there wasn't a way out. her coughs started becoming louder and louder making her eyes fog and start to become dizzy. coughing more and more the girl somehow managed to reach the door open and ran out of the building.

she only took a second to look back at her home, all her belongings were destroyed, all she had left were memories and a backpack. stuff started to fall as she quickly ran out of the building all by herself. she didn't know where to go, her parents had left six months ago and all Aurelia had hoped for was to keep going.

but then, Bobby Nash spotted the girl running out of the building. his heart broke seeing the poor girl covered in ash and only a backpack. he took in the girl and treated her as his own. with the years that passed, and still no sign of her parents, Bobby officially adopted her. Aurelia would always be forever grateful for the man, she believed that they were both sent to each other for a reason.

"i just sent you a bunch of pictures, dad." Aurelia walked through her apartment in Spain opening the door stepping out into the balcony as she sat down taking in the view of Madrid.

"yeah, i just got them," Bobby smiled putting her on speaker looking through the photos, "where'd you run off to today?"

"the shops," she answered while her dalmatian Pongo quickly joined her out on the balcony, "i had to return some stuff so i wasn't really walking around."

"i miss you, Rosie."

her heart filled with joy smiling at his words, Bobby always called her by her middle name, it was something Aurelia loved hearing whenever she talked to him, "i miss you too." her eyes never leaving her laptops screen staring at the two emails, one for her one way flight back home to Los Angeles and the other of the fire department's acceptance letter to be a firefighter, specifically in the 118.

the phone call was cut short when the sound of the alarm was heard at the firehouse. saying their goodbyes, Aurelia set her phone down smiling at the emails and ran off to her room to pack, Pongo running behind her.

luckily, Aurelia was able to get a fully decorated apartment in L.A from spain, the second she stepped through the door dropping her bags and Pongo's leash, he ran straight in to sniff everything making her smile as she started looking around. the middle of the room was mostly the kitchen and then the living room area with a balcony viewing all of L.A. there was also a small bathroom for guests and then she stepped into her room as her jaw dropped.
