"did you know that starts are just giant balls of hot gas?" Buck says.
Aurelia who was resting her head on his shoulder turned to look at him, "what?"
"yeah. bet you didn't know that." he chuckled, his fingers gently running up and down her back.
she couldn't help but laugh at his random fact as he pulled her in closer. everything seemed perfect, nobody was around them, the two were laying on a blanket at the beach looking up at the stars. Buck looked at her, his other hand moving to her face, his thumb rubbing against her cheek making her smile as he started to lean in.
jumping awake, Aurelia checked the time seeing it was only two in the morning. she felt something move beside her seeing Knight turning to his side as he slept hugging a pillow.
"fuck." she whispered.
this had been the fourth time she had dreamt about Buck. she thought the dreams would stop after she started seeing Knight but turns out they started becoming more frequent as the nights continued to pass.
the following morning Aurelia rested her head on her kitchen counter waiting for the coffee to brew. she never drank coffee but she knew was going to need it today since she hadn't gotten any sleep at all. Knight stepped into the room slipping on his work t-shirt spotting the redhead half asleep staring at the pot.
"baby?"
Aurelia only hummed not removing her eyes from the coffee, Knight furrowed his brows approaching her pushing her hair away from her face.
"you okay?"
Aurelia slowly nodded sitting up, "yeah. just didn't sleep last night."
"i can see that. you're also making coffee which you don't drink." he chuckled, her eyes moved to him playfully rolling them.
"i also have three energy drinks in the fridge that i'm taking to work." she says rubbing her eyes.
"that'll keep you awake for days." he tells her leaning against the counter.
"that's the plan," she smiled standing up from the stool pouring the coffee into a mug, "but you can take some coffee to work today so you're welcome."
"you haven't been sleeping well recently, what's going on?" he walked towards her.
Aurelia shrugged grabbing his coffee mug filling it, "probably a rough few nights with work. i'll be okay."
