Aurelia loved twenty four hour shifts, although the only thing she missed was her bed and dog during them she loved being at the firehouse. she basically grew up at the old firehouse where Bobby was last captain, since she didn't want to be home alone in her and Bobby's apartment, almost everyday after school Aurelia always went to the firehouse when she didn't have volleyball practice.
"you think i can convince my dad to let me hang fairy lights around the place?" Aurelia asks, her head on Buck's lap while he scrolled through his phone.
"he might."
"we have more treats!" Hen smiles walking up the steps with Eddie, Aurelia jumped off the couch startling Buck.
"please tell me they're brownies." she skipped towards the table with Buck behind her.
"so many!" Eddie cheered cutting up the brownies in pieces handing them out.
the four started eating the sweets in excitement, mainly the brownies which they all went back for seconds and thirds eating the entire container. Aurelia sat on the counter scrolling through her phone munching on the brownie when Chimney walked up the stairs with the camera crew and Taylor.
"seriously, you guys? you couldn't even leave me any crumbs?" Chimney looked at his friends.
"ooh, Chim, you missed out." Buck passed him eating his brownie and a glass of milk.
"is that chocolate?"
"mm. fudge, with nuts." Eddie looked down at the table seeing more treats.
"i love fudge with nuts." Chimney sadly looked at the brownie in Eddie's hands.
"sorry, Chimney." Aurelia wiping her hands on the napkin that was on her lap.
"oh, damn, you would've loved these because.. scrumptious." Hen says eating her last piece.
"i'm sorry you had to see this, this dark underbelly of hour 21 in a 24-hour shift. gets pretty mercenary around here." Chim says to the camera as the alarm rang.
Aurelia jumped off the counter shoving her phone in her pocket running down the stairs jumping into the truck putting her seatbelt on.
"where's Captain Nash?" Taylor asks.
"he's sitting this one out, wrapping the shift. it's a simple med call." Chimney tells her as the truck started driving away.
