Aurelia believed in love. she's seen it with Bobby and Athena, Hen and Karen, Sofia and Veronica. read about it in romance books and seen it in movies, but sometimes she thought she'd never experience it. the relationships she had in high school (which weren't many) never lasted. she reached for her phone that was laying on the coffee table as she laid on the couch watching yet another romance movie.
right as she was about to turn off the t.v, a knock came from her door making her stand up tossing the blanket on the couch opening the door seeing Buck with a duffle bag.
"hey."
"is it okay if i stay here for a few nights?" Buck asked gripping his bag.
"of course you can, come in." Aurelia stepped aside as he walked in setting the bag down, "everything okay?"
"i, uh, left Abby's place." he says sitting down on the couch.
Aurelia joined him moving the blanket onto her lap, "for how long?"
"for good. it's time for me to move on." after his talk with Maddie, Buck knew he couldn't keep waiting for Abby. their conversations have shortened, rarely ever spoken to each other and Abby didn't really answer any of Buck's calls.
"are you okay?" Aurelia asked, Buck leaned back slowly nodding looking at her.
"i'll be okay," he smiled, his eyes moving to the t.v, "didn't you watch this last week?"
"i was going to turn it off." she reached for the remote but Buck quickly took it first raising his arm up.
"i wanna see how it ends, you're always watching this." he laughed while Aurelia still reached for the remote.
"they end up together. there spoiler!" she jumped up on the couch but Buck quickly wrapped his arm her waist pulling her down onto the couch.
"still wanna see how they end up together." Aurelia gave up laying on on the couch and her head on Buck's lap.
"it's actually pretty cute." she threw the blanket over them.
there were only twenty minutes left of the movie, Aurelia ended up falling asleep while Buck kept his eyes on the movie. he'd always see Aurelia watch the movie Letters To Juliet, it was one of her favorites. how the couple reconnected and got married after all those years apart and how Sophie fell in love with Charlie. as the movie ended, Buck looked down to Aurelia who was sound asleep thinking of a lot of stuff.
