"i'm here, i'm here, i'm here- i missed it didn't i?" Aurelia ran into the firehouse, she was supposed to help Buck, Eddie and Bobby with Harry's class today who came to the station to learn about firefighter's.

"sorry, kid." Bobby planted a kiss onto the back of her head.

"damn it."

"you're never late. what happened?" Buck asked removing his turn out coat.

Buck had noticed Aurelia being distant for a few weeks, which he found odd since the two were always attached to the hip. in the years they were friends there wasn't a day where Buck and Aurelia weren't talking to each other or around each other.

"they shut off the water in my building so i had to drive to Knight's to shower, realized i left my bag when i got there, had to go back to mine, then back to his place, and drove here. the traffic is ass." Aurelia dragged her duffle bag towards the locker room.

"explains why your hair is wet." Buck gently tugged on one of her curls, she smacked his hand away throwing her bag inside the locker room.

"i hate driving, i wanna teleport or better yet ride a dragon." she made her way upstairs going straight to the kitchen.

"i'm scared to see you with a dragon." Buck laughed earning a glare from the redhead.

"i just hope today's an easy day." she reached for a yogurt in the fridge opening the drawer grabbing a spoon.

"i'm sure it will," he watched her sit on the counter to eat her breakfast noticing that she was also avoiding eye contact with him, "so, how are you and Knight doing?"

"we're good-" suddenly the alarms rang all over the firehouse, Aurelia quickly finished her yogurt throwing it away as Bobby handed her, her walkie talkie along with Bucks.

"so much for an easy day." she slipped over walkie over her uniform.

"okay, everybody, we are in Tactical Emergency Mode. that means we will not be at the station today. we will be driving all around the district to make sure that we are ready for anything that comes our way." Bobby loudly tells the station leading everyone to the truck.

"Cap, you do realize we work here, right? we're trained professionals not fifth- graders." Hen tells the man who smiled.

Aurelia laughed pulling her hair into a low messy bun getting in the truck.

"hey, Cap. you ever seen a breakdown like this before?" Eddie asks once they had left the station.

"once in St. Paul. blizzard took out the power grid around the call center and backup generator." Bobby says.
