"where is he? is he okay?" Aurelia ran into the hospital followed by Knight seeing Eddie and Hen along with other police officers.
only a couple of days had passed since Maddie asked Chimney on a date but after hearing the news of Chimney getting hurt. Aurelia dropped everything and drove straight to the hospital. all the girl got was a call from Bobby saying that Chimney was on his way to the hospital, that Maddie was missing and to meet up with everyone at the hospital and as soon as Bobby knew more he was going to inform the rest.
"he's alive. he's got a punctured lung and a lacerated stomach." Hen rushed to the girl taking her hands.
"is he in surgery?" Eddie asks since he had also just arrived.
"not yet. he lost a lot of blood. but as soon as he's stable they'll prep him for surgery." Hen informs her friends, Eddie and Aurelia looked at each other in worry.
"who would do something like this?" Eddie asked.
Aurelia sighed running her fingers through her wet hair, when she realized something, "oh my God, Buck."
"he's with Bobby and Athena right now. they should be here any minute." Hen assures the girl.
Knight placed his hand on his girlfriend's shoulder squeezing it leading her to a seat. the more they all waited the more anxious everyone got, Aurelia stood up from her seat starting to pace around.
Knight watched her anxiously pace around until he stood up, walking toward her interlocking their fingers, "come on, let's go get something to drink."
"why the hell would someone do this to him?" she whispered.
"i don't know, baby. i wish i knew and i know you don't like waiting but that's all we can do right now." he tells her reaching the coffee machine, Aurelia leaned against the wall quietly watching him make a coffee.
Knight turned handing her a cup of coffee, she took the cup looking around seeing Bobby and Athena, "dad?"
Bobby turned around seeing his daughter, Aurelia quickly set the cup on the counter rushing towards him followed by Knight.
he stepped away from Athena approaching Aurelia, "Rosie-"
"what's going on? is there anything yet?" she asked.
"Athena's on the phone right now trying to see what she could find out but Buck decided to take Chimney's phone and unlock it which wasn't his best idea." Bobby pulled her aside so Athena can speak on the phone.
"do they at least have an idea of who could've done all this?"
"Buck says it was Maddie's ex husband."
"Aure?"
looking behind Bobby, Aurelia rushed towards him as he stood up throwing his arms around her. Buck squeezed the girl as she rubbed his back comforting him. his eyes were red from the non stop crying, he was glad Aurelia was here but all Buck wanted was his sister back.
