Tuesday.
Strange,
What's this incoherent buzzing? Why Am I tingling all over? Why does my head hurt?
The alarm started blaring in the room, so Haerin slowly arose from her comfortable slumber, instinctively grabbing a pair of glasses, that weren't shattered like the old pair, from the nightstand and put them on. She yawned and stood up, ready to go to another dreading day of school, probably face Dong-jun and his remarks, maybe get another bruise, unfortunately, and get good grades, the best part.
However, once she tried to step, her foot wouldn't budge from the wooden floor. Confused, The cat-like girl looked down, weirded out about how she could see from a higher angle than usual. She blamed it on the stress and tried to raise her foot more urgently, but with no luck. It felt like her foot was glued to the ground.
"What the hell?," Upon asking herself a question, Haerin put her hands on the floor and raised her foot up, it finally dislocating from the ground, but because of feline's strong push, her foot went upwards with the other one, making her pose in a headstand. Haerin's eyes widened at her own, weirdly new, flexibility, because she was never able to do this before. She sighed and tried to stand up again, but now her hands were glued to the floor. She clenched her jaw and cursed, trying to back away as far away as she could, so her palms would leave this godforsaken floor alone!
Again, the strong push caused her hands and arms to fly up, but she backflipped and landed on the bed in a weird pose. With a question mark above her head, Haerin blinked twice and noticed something else.
Her eyesight was blurry. She blinked a few times again and took the glasses off, wondering if she had the wrong pair, but when she looked up, everything seemed to be made of excessive quality. Now, Haerin was sure she was in a dream. How could her poor eyesight be fixed so soon? That made no sense whatsoever.
Troubled, the girl walked into the bathroom and her eyes widened for the nth time that day. In the mirror, she looked at her frame. If she was skinny and scrawny before, with nerdy glasses, now her whole body was more muscled and taller, with obvious sharpened eyes, jawline and cheeks.
"Why is this dream so realistic?," Haerin asked herself in the mirror and took the toothbrush, pouring toothpaste on it. She groaned and started to brush her teeth, but remembered Dong-jun's face out of nowhere. From the built up anger, she held the toothbrush slightly stronger and it resulted in her breaking it. Her favorite green tool was now split in half. "What the fuck!" She now screamed in distress.
She heard her bedroom door opening and sighed, realizing she woke up Minji. "Dude, why are you—," When Minji walked into the bathroom, her mouth fell agape. If before Minji was taller, Haerin was now looking down at her. Her arms were more buffed, her face more mature and she wasn't wearing glasses? "Dude?...."
