Wednesday.
A sudden yelp was followed by a body crashing down on the ground, huffing breathlessly from the impact. Coughing, Haerin stood up and dusted off the dirt off of herself, glaring at her laughing friend all the while. "Ha, so funny!," She exclaimed and shook her head, jumping on the wall again and starting to climb.
Minji simply chuckled at her friend and looked down at the list Haerin made, checking another drawn box next to the words Agility. "Alright, so, we have super strength, super speed, genius intellect, wall crawling, Enhanced durability and now Agility too. What's left is... webbing."
"Right. A spider web, a structure created by a spider out of proteinaceous spider silk, usually used to catch its prey. That's the only basic thing I haven't shown in this practice."
Currently located in an abandoned building, at 3AM, Minji spent an hour trying to find a place where Haerin could train with her newly discovered powers. It was only in fiction they saw some superheroes, never would they think that Haerin would have spider-powers and climb on walls. This awkward nerd, that had a somewhat peaceful life along with Minji, now had a huge burden on her shoulders.
Minji smiled as she watched how her best friend grew right before her, sure; with the help of whatever that spider did, but also how matured she is.
First time they met was at a playground. They were running around and building sandcastles, not having a care in the world. As Minji was playing, her bear toy's head got ripped accidentally and her eyes got filled with tears. Haerin noticed her friend crying and approached her slowly, shushing her and giving her own frog plushie as an exchange for her broken one.
Haerin went home that day and sewed the head by herself to the rest of the body. That was the day when Minji decided Haerin was her ride or die and that she would protect the girl, just like she protected her favorite toy.
She has been by her side through rain and storm, that's why Minji loved her best friend. When things got too heated in her family and black haired's father started caring about Minji's image too much, she decided to move out. Haerin lived with her uncle before, but agreed right away when the latter told her about becoming roommates. They still get some money from their families, but try to work from time to time, to ensure they can pay bills, taxes, gasoline for Minji's car and everything else. Minji is happy to be in the presence of her friend every day, even though they sometimes went for each other's throats.
She remembers the day when Haerin first got her crush on Danielle Marsh, their former classmate. The black haired girl teased her so much, Haerin yelled at her so seriously for the first time ever. They both laughed afterwards, realizing how funny it must've looked for others. Haerin also teases her about Hanni, saying how she's not getting any hints into her skull. Minji denies everything that consists of Hanni, instead telling Haerin how delusional is for thinking Danielle wouldn't look her way.
