Not sure how I feel about this chapter. I played with Tylers POV a little bit more, and knowing what chapter is coming I wanted to make this one a little lighter.

Tyler's POV

There was an hour between us and meeting up with the wranglers. The ride was quiet. Kate had fallen asleep in the back, using our bags as a pillow and Anna sat in the passenger seat beside me, with her legs crossed under her. She had taken my computer from the center console and was intently staring at the screen, thumb to her lips. It was one of her nervous ticks, I wasn't even sure she knew she was doing it. She had a few that I had realized happen when she gets lost in thought, was overthinking, or her mind started to spiral, it was biting her thumb, or biting her bottom lip, and on occasion I had seen her fingers trace the scar on her shoulder.

Without thinking too much about it, I took my right hand from the wheel and reached over to her, pulling her hand away from her face and towards me slightly, lacing my fingers with hers. It was a bit intimate, but I was focused on grounding her. From the corner of my eye, I could see her looking at me with a scowl. Chancing a glance at her, I squeezed her hand in mine lightly and gave her a small smile before turning back to the road.

I was still watching her through my peripheral, and she finally took a deep breath, and I felt her fingers tighten in my grasp before relaxing. She was still scowling at the computer screen, but her shoulders were more relaxed, and our hands stayed locked together until we met up with the other wranglers and I parked the truck. Through the rearview, I noticed Kate waking up, but her eyes were on our hands, raising an eyebrow at me before sitting up and running a hand through her hair.

My team was already at the trailer shop waiting outside their vehicles when we pulled up. I had given Dani a heads up, and she was able to pull a few strings with a friend of hers to get us a deal. Killing the trucks engine, I got out of grabbing my cowboy hat from the dash.

"Ben." I smiled as the British report walked towards me. "You stuck around."

"Turns out there's more to the story then I thought." Ben responded with his own smile, and I nodded looking at Anna as she waited for Kate, and they walked towards the others.

"We got a different ending for you." I answered still watching the girls.

"City girls." I heard Dexter call to them, as Ben and I walked towards everyone.

"Hey." Lily smiled reaching out to Anna, and Anna gave her a small hug.

"Finally decided to ditch all the squares, huh?" Dexter chuckled. "Right on.

"Y'all missed a big one, take a look." Lily offered showing the girls her computer and I was curious to see but the man behind them, openly turning his back to me with his arms crossed caught my attention.

"Boone..." I sighed walking towards him putting my hand on his shoulder, but the guy was stubborn and shook his head. I knew he wasn't really upset, but I did feel bad. When I had found out where Kate and Anna had gone after the rodeo tornado, I had just left, with little explanation, and hadn't given the group much since then. Boone, he was my best friend, and he was always there when I needed him. "I'm sorry man, I know..."

"Sorry, isn't gonna..."

"I know, I know..." We were talking over each other, and I couldn't help but smile as he tried to stay serious. "But how 'bout we shoot of some new rockets." That got him. He stopped trying to avoid me and turned his head slightly.

"You said rockets?" He questioned and I could see the excitement in his eyes as I smiled wider at him patting his shoulder.

"Hey, ya'll ready?" Dani called walking out of the shop with a man behind her. We all followed her in as she explained what we were looking for to the salesman. "We need a 40ft trailer, wide enough for a pickup, but heavy enough to anchor barrels in 100 mile an hour winds."
