It was way too long I know, and I apologize this update didn't come sooner... we had a family death that happened and consumed most of last month... but regardless I have not given up on this story and still plan to finish.
So, without further ado...here is the next chapter. A small disclaimer, this chapter has mature content in the ... spicy ... variety. I have indicated where it starts and ends with ** for those of you that may still want to read the chapter but not the "intimate" details. (Also... I'm not a smut writer but I did my best)
There will be errors so try not to focus on them to much ;)
Tylers POV
It would have been naive for me to think I wouldn't be placed in the path of a tornado again. I didn't however, expect to be in the path of a tornado, in the center of an unsuspecting town again, so soon. Being in the path of a tornado of my choosing, a tornado I chased, one I'm prepared for, that is something I am fully prepared for, but to be standing in front of a group of fans, of people that watch my channel, and to see the winds shift...
There was no warning. Leaving Sapulpa early in the morning, we arrived in Blackwell and did a bit of an appearance there before moving to Wellington then Waco, Kansas on our way to Wichita. Thats where we were, that's where I was currently standing. The sirens didn't have a chance to go off. Standing with the wranglers by the old RV signing t-shirts and taking pictures, I had a permanent smile on my face.
Chasing always gave me a rush, but to have people actually enjoy what I created; to see them excited, it reminded me of bull riding and hearing the stands cheer as I did my run in the arena. Every so often I looked up over the crowd to Anna, and every time she smiled back at me, genuine happiness on her face as she looked at me with what I wanted to say was admiration, occasionally shaking her head and rolling her eyes at me. I had told her to come up by the vehicles, but she had insisted she didn't want to be in the way, regardless of me telling her she wouldn't be. She still shook her head and stood behind the crowd watching us.
I had been signing a shirt and standing next to an excited group of storm chasers looking at a phone as someone took a picture when a breeze blew through the crowd. No one seemed to mind it, many just holding their hats until it passed, but I looked out at Anna, and her eyes were already on the clouds, her jaw clenched as she scowled up at the sky. I followed her gaze as it shifted with the clouds towards the field directly in front of us. The funnel was already forming quickly, and then it made purchase on the ground. Seconds later the crowd was in chaos. Someone had yelled tornado, and everyone panicked.
Boone and Lily were quick to start directing people towards the closest shelters as I moved through the crowd. My eyes glued to Anna as she helped someone up from the ground, holding their arm to lead them towards me. By the time we reached each other, the wind was whipping around us.
"We have to get inside!" I called to her, and she took a deep breath nodding. Holding out my hand, she laced her fingers with mine and we walked one arm over our heads, trying to keep the dust from our eyes as we moved towards one of the buildings. I could hear cries for help through the wind and felt Anna stop. When I looked at her with a scowl of confusion, she was looking over her shoulder.
"Tyler!" Boone called out just as Anna turned, her mouth opened to say something. Swallowing hard, I turned to my friend, his bandana over his nose and mouth and goggles one as dust continued to lift around us. "We got everyone in the basement, but there's a grandma down there crying about her grandkids."
"What?" I questioned over the howl of the wind.
"They were at the ... Shit." Boone's attention was drawn over my shoulder. Turning to follow his gaze I realized the person I expected to be standing beside me wasn't there anymore. I looked at the hand I had been holding hers with and looked up to see her running towards the local park a few yards away... towards the incoming funnel of wind.
