So a few notes... this is one of my longest chapters and when I started it I thought it was going to be one of my shortest... so that's something.

Also, I am not all knowing when it comes to hospital protocol or medical knowledge. Anything in this fic is there because it sounded good in my head and in the brief research, I did on google, so don't come at me if it's wrong, just enjoy the story.

Additional note, I know Tyler has some trauma that he needs to deal with, and I am going to have that all come to a head, a little in the next chapter, but big time in the chapter after that. I just didn't want you all to think this was only Anna healing because I do acknowledge that Tyler has some healing too.

I tried to keep this chapter lighter, and more about the team and family dynamics at first, but I apologize if it was just agonizing and boring.

I own the errors in this story and my OC.

I hated hospitals. Since I was a little girl and broke my leg, I hated them. The doctors preached resting but came in every few hours to check vitals. It's their job, and I knew they were doing it for a reason, but the constant attention made me uneasy. That on top of the last major hospital visit having changed my life dramatically, I was ready to leave. It had already been six hours since the tornado.

The doctor had come in earlier, kicking everyone but Kate out to explain my situation. I had a barrage of stitches from the bottom of my rip to my hip and around my shoulder along my collar. The glass hadn't damaged any of the already damaged bone from the original injury, but the muscles and joint would take time to heal. I had a concussion, and some of my ribs had been bruised but according to the doctor I had been lucky. They wanted to monitor me for the next twenty-four hours, for infection, considering the mud I had been lying in and the metal piece that had sliced my side, but I wasn't thrilled, and Kate could see it.

Despite my complaints, the doctor didn't seem like he was going to budge, so I settled to convince him to let me change into actual clothes. Kate and a nurse awkwardly helped me into loose sweats and a tank top Lily had brought with her, and by the time I was back in bed was trying to control the pain that radiated through my body.

There was a tentative knock on the door, and I groaned, adjusting the sling around my neck. I didn't want any more tests or answer any more questions... I was done... but it wasn't a nurse or doctor, a dark head of brown peaked through the door as it opened, and I smiled as he threw the door open.

"Anna Banana!" Boone exclaimed walking in. "Look at you, awake and ready to tame another tornado."

"Think I'll leave the next one to you." I smiled and watched as Tyler and Lily followed him in. Tyler limped to the seat he had been in earlier and I watched his injured leg stretch out in front of him and I raised an eyebrow at him. We still hadn't had time to talk, I hadn't had a moment to ask how he was, if he was okay.

"How you feelin'?" Lily asked gently sitting on the end of the bed.

"I'm okay." I said shrugging and instantly wincing, closing my eyes tight and biting the inside of my cheek to keep from letting the whimper escape. "That was supposed to sound more convincing." I sighed, opening my eyes to find Lily giving me a sympathetic smile, but I could feel Tyler's stare from where he sat beside me. Shaking my head and clearing my throat I scowled up at Lily and noticed the bandage on her wrist.

"Are you okay?" I asked concerned.

"Huh?" She seemed confused before I nodded to her wrist, and she lifted it. "Oh, yeah, I mean... we had a close call..." She trailed off and watched as she looked at Tyler as he let out a shaky breath running a hand through his hair as he looked away.
