So originally this chapter was MUUUUUCCCCH longer, but I ended up breaking it up into two parts because it was getting really big.

So, I apologize for the short chapter, but I promise there will be another one coming right behind it either tonight or tomorrow.

Some emotions going on here and of course Anna and Tyler getting closer.

Don't mind the errors, I know they're there.

Tylers POV

There was a monster movie playing on the screen, but the screams weren't in the movie. The screams were from everyone in the theater, everyone terrified of the looming tornado as it descended on El Reno. The roof was already crumbling around us, and my team, Javi and I were working fast to try and move everyone further back, away from the walls. The roar of the wind outside grew louder, and I stood up straighter watching the wall shake before I dropped to the ground hard.

Not a second later, the wall was ripped away and the screams in the theater were drowned out by the rushing wind. I gripped the bottom of the chair, groaning as I felt the wind try and pull me forward. The row in front of me was ripped away and the people hiding under the seats were taken out the large opening in the theater wall. There was a yell beside me, and I looked up just in time to see Lily being pulled towards the opening, and my heart dropped, as everything around me shifted.

She was reaching her hand out, crying out for help as she tried to find purchase on something to keep her from flying into the storm, and without another thought I released the seat I was gripping and reached out for her as she continued sliding away, until I finally grasped her wrist. My body was still sliding, and I grimaced as my boot found the bottom of one of the seats and it jarred my already injured leg, but it stopped our bodies, and I was able to hold on to Lily.

I could hear her crying out, screaming for me to hold on to her, not let her go and I closed my eyes tightening my grip on her wrist and trying to pull her back towards me.

'Tyler!' she cried out and my eyes shot open. It wasn't Lily's voice, and it wasn't Lily's arm I was holding. Anna was the one hanging in the air, the storm trying to rip her away, and her stormy eyes were clouded with tears as she called out to me. 'Don't let me go!'

'I got you!' I called out, but I could feel the chair my foot was hooked on start to lift. 'Look at me Anna, I'm not gonna let you go.' I said but even as I said it my grip started to slip on her wrist. Gritting my teeth, I tried to tighten my hold, but it was no use. I looked back at her and she seemed to realize what was going to happen, and she gave me a small smile. 'Don't you dare...' I said, my voice strained, but before I could stop it the wind pulled her from my grasp, and I watched as she was pulled into the storm.

I screamed after her, reached at the air, like I could get her back, but she was gone.

I sat up gasping. Looking around, it wasn't the theater around me, but the living room of the Carter house. Groaning, I ran my hand through my sweat soaked hair, before rotating my legs off the couch and running my hand over my thigh, the ache in it a reminder of what I had been through, a reminder of what was a dream and what was real.

Arriving at the Carter farm, Cathy had pointed Anna in the direction of the guest room and tried to convince me to take her room. I was quick to refuse and nodded to the couch. Mrs. Carter wanted to argue, eyeing me as I limped towards it, but I reassured her the couch was closer to my team and my voice trailed off as I looked at the closed door at the top of the stairs. She seemed to understand, and here I was three days later, on the couch still waking up gasping for air, heart pounding, having the same nightmare.
