Ángeles Rasmüssen never expected to end up at Hogwarts. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, her life had been marked by an unstable power she could barely control. Raised in the jungles of Brazil under the guidance of Castelobruxo, the South American school of magic, her world was vastly different from the one she now found herself in. Hogwarts, with its cold climate, stone castles, and distant history, was nothing like the life she had known...

Her mother, Amelia Crouch, a renowned journalist in the magical world, had warned her time and again about the dangers of Slytherin. “Stay away from the Malfoys, Angie, nothing good ever comes from that house.” How ironic it was, then, that she now found herself in that very house—the house of serpents.
Ángeles felt out of place, not only because of her background but also because she had always known that her magic, that chaotic force coursing through her veins, could become a threat if the wrong people discovered it. She wasn’t at Hogwarts by choice; she was there for her own safety.

As she walked through the halls of her new school, the contrast between her old life and the one she was beginning at Hogwarts was stark. She didn’t know anyone, and many seemed to look at her with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. After all, it wasn’t common for someone to come from so far away, much less with the reputation that Ángeles seemed to carry—unintentionally. But the truth was different: her presence at Hogwarts wasn’t just about her own danger but also what could happen if someone tried to use her unstable magic for dark purposes.

And then there was him—Draco Malfoy. From day one, their meeting had not been exactly friendly. Perhaps it was the cultural differences, or maybe it was just his arrogant demeanor, but something about Draco seemed determined to make her life harder. Despite her mother’s warnings about the Malfoys, Ángeles began to wonder if all those warnings were truly necessary. After all, a bad start doesn’t always mean a bad ending, right?

Hogwarts was a place full of secrets, and hers were bigger than anyone could imagine.

Maybe there were a million reasons to stay away from Draco Malfoy, but Ángeles was also starting to understand that there might be another million reasons to stay. After all, sometimes people aren’t what they seem at first glance, and the greatest challenge is finding out who truly deserves a chance.

Amid love, betrayal, and suffering, Ángeles would learn that, sometimes, redemption can be found in the most unexpected places... even in the heart of someone like Draco Malfoy.
