Theo's POV

~The day was sunny and beautiful, just as I had dreamed it would be at some point in my life. It wasn't warm enough to be stifling, but it wasn't cold at all; it was a lovely spring day. The chosen location was also beautiful, a flowery meadow perfect for occasions like this. In the background, I could hear the other guests chatting among themselves, along with the band playing a song that announced our imminent entrance.
There she was, Ángeles Rasmüssen, looking like she had stepped out of a fairy tale. She wore a sleeveless white dress, held a large bouquet of flowers in her hands, and had a veil with a tiara adorning her short hair. She wore subtle makeup; I think women call it "day makeup," but to be honest, she didn't need it. She looked beautiful even without it. A big smile spread across her face as she saw me approaching.
"What's up, Theodore?" she asked, still smiling. "How do I look?"
Was she really asking me that?
"Angie... You... look beautiful, as always."
She smiled even more, closing her eyes as she blushed. Merlin, any gesture of hers completely disarmed me.
I offered her my arm to walk, which she gladly accepted as we moved toward the altar.
"Who would have thought, right?" she said. "I'm marrying my best friend... It's the best day of my life!"
"It's mine too, Angie. You don't know how long I've waited for this moment, how long I've waited for you to realize..."
"I think deep down I always knew... It's always been you, Theo."~

What had that thud in my head been?

What had that thud in my head been?

"Theo! I'm talking to you! Did you fall asleep?"

"Oh, Angie, I...," I said, yawning and rubbing my eyes. "Sorry, I don't know what happened... I didn't realize."

"You were resting your head on your hand when you closed your eyes," she said, laughing. "I thought you were mentally recalling something... Until you started snoring."

"Snoring?!" I said, embarrassed. "Oh my Merlin, did anyone else notice?"

"Don't worry, I woke you up when you started," she winked. "But I didn't want to, you looked so peaceful. Were you dreaming?"

Heat rushed to my face. How could I tell her what I had been dreaming? How could I say I was dreaming about her, like I had since the day she arrived at Hogwarts?

"I don't remember," I lied. "It couldn't have been important; you know what they say about not remembering dreams, right?"

"Yeah, that's true," she nodded. "But maybe you'll remember later... Anyway, where were we?"
