Ángeles' POV

"What happened to your hair?" Theo asked, amused and surprised, gently touching my hair.

"What do you mean by what happened? It's a style change. Why? Don't you like it?"

"Of course I do! I didn't mean it that way. You know you have my support to do whatever you want with your appearance," he said, taking my hands. "Besides, it matches the uniform."

"See? I thought of everything. I wouldn't do something that wouldn't go well with the Slytherin uniform... After all, I'm a girl too," I laughed.

"I'd never doubt that you're a girl, Angie," he said, raising his hands in surrender while laughing. "How was Buenos Aires?"

Damn. What could I say? "Oh, I didn't stay long; I had to come back because Voldemort threatened to kill Draco." Yeah, that'll work...

"Pretty good. My birthday night was... interesting, if you know what I mean..."

"Night? What did you do?"

"Well, my friend Circe and I sneaked into a bar to drink free alcohol! And nobody noticed! I got to try champagne for the first time, but I didn't like it."

"You drank alcohol?? You're 16! Is that even legal?"

"Theo, when you can do magic, the line between legal and illegal is very thin," I said, winking.

"Angie, you're amazing," he said with a triumphant smile.

"I know," I replied, laughing. "You should come to a party with me sometime."

Theo and I couldn't stop laughing. I was happy, and I hadn't seen Draco yet, neither on the train nor at school. I wondered if he was okay, or well, if he wasn't, I would have heard by now, right? Theo hadn't mentioned him, nor had any other Slytherin students...

I decided to stop thinking about Draco and went into the school with Theo. The weather was great, so much that I was glad to be outside, but I knew we couldn't. We couldn't be late, especially not on the first day.

When we reached the Slytherin table, I saw Draco sitting in one of the corners, alone, just staring at the table, not talking to anyone. To be honest, he looked really pathetic. He seemed lonely, overwhelmed, bored, sad, and any other depressing adjective that came to mind. I was dying to approach him to talk and see how his vacation had been, although judging by his face, it didn't seem to have been the best...

"You're not going over there, are you?" Theo asked in an accusatory tone.

"Should I?" I asked, sincerely and curiously.

"Angie! Should I remind you what he did to you?"

"No, Theodore, you don't need to remind me because I remember it myself," I said sarcastically. "It's just that... look at him, he's so alone. He looks miserable."

"That's what he is, a damn miserable person."

"Theo!" I laughed. "I'm not going to let you talk about him like that."

"I get it, you're going to defend him after what he did to you? You care about him that much?"

"And what if I do?" I responded defiantly.

At that moment, Dumbledore appeared from one side, getting everyone's attention with throat-clearing sounds.

"Dear students," he began, "this year we have some changes in the staff. I introduce you to Professor Grubbly-Plank. She will be taking care of magical creatures while Hagrid is not here."
