My first week at Hogwarts was a tornado of excitement, confusion and new experiences. Each day brought something different, from challenging classes to intriguing encounters with my fellow students.

Monday: My day began with Transfiguration, taught by Professor Dumbledore himself. His presence was both comforting and intimidating. His eyes twinkled with kindness but his lessons were rigorous. We spent the morning turning matchsticks into needles, a task that required intense concentration and precision. Next was Charms with Professor McGonagall, a strict yet very kind teacher. Her enthusiasm was contagious and I found myself an expert in the Aguamenti charm, it conjured a jet of clean, drinkable water from the tip of the caster's wand.

Tuesday: Potions class with Professor Slughorn was once again a highlight. Slughorn’s vast knowledge made the class enjoyable. I partnered with Rose again and together we brewed a successful Draught of Peace. Between classes, I wandered the castle with Iris Parkinson and Rose black, marveling at its ancient architecture. The moving staircases were both fascinating and frustrating, often leading us to the wrong floor. The last class of the day was Care of Magical Creatures, which quickly became a favorite of mine. Professor Newt Scamander introduced us to a variety of magical creatures, each more fascinating than the last. Today, we were learning about Occamy. Their majestic presence was fabulous.

Wednesday: Defense Against the Dark Arts was an intense experience. Professor Merrythought was a strict but fair instructor who demanded excellence. We practiced basic defensive spells and I felt a sense of satisfaction as I successfully blocked a jinx. During lunch, I sat with Iris and Abraxas, who filled me in on the latest school gossip. It was during these conversations that I began to understand the complex social dynamics at Hogwarts, particularly within our Slytherin House.

Thursday: History of Magic was a struggle to stay awake through. Professor Binns, the ghostly teacher, droned on about goblin rebellions. I found myself daydreaming about the Black Lake and the mysterious Selkies (mermaids of the lakes). After lunch, I had Herbology with Professor Beery. The greenhouses were warm and filled with exotic plants. We repotted Venomous Tentacula, which was both fascinating and nerve-wracking.

Friday: Friday morning began with Astronomy, which I found captivating. We charted constellations and learned about the movements of celestial bodies. The serene environment made it easy to forget the daily school stress and immerse ourselves in the wonders of the universe. After Astronomy, we headed to Divination. The classroom, high in the North Tower, was filled with the scent of incense and the soft clinking of crystal balls. Today, we practiced clairvoyance. Rose and I giggled as we tried to decipher the obscure symbols, making up humorous predictions for each other.

Saturday and Sunday: The weekend brought some much needed relaxation. I spent Saturday morning exploring the grounds of Hogwarts with a very nice Ravenclaw girl Myrtle Warren.

Despite the fact that her parents are muggle, she's way smarter than some purebloods I encoutered. I joined some younger Slytherins for a game of Wizard’s Chess in the common room, which was both challenging and fun. Sunday was a day for catching up on homework and preparing for the week ahead. I found a quiet corner in the library and buried myself in my books. As I worked, I couldn’t shake the feeling that my time at Hogwarts would be filled with wonder. By the end of the week, I felt more at home at Hogwarts.
