Jade brought her car round to the back entrance of the studio. She was trying to avoid any paparazzi who may be lurking, waiting for an unflattering snap of an unsuspecting celebrity. Normally there were at least a couple of them loitering, having nothing better to do than ambush people trying to work.
They left the Jerrie flat the same way, using a back entrance into the car park and driving out before anyone spotted them. The media presence outside of their flat had died down a bit but people were still coming over almost every day to get a picture of Perrie so they could speculate on her recovery progress and condition.
Jade really hated that they couldn't just leave her girlfriend alone. All she was trying to do was get better but not even now could anyone grant her a moment of grace. It was like when Zayn broke up with her. The more vulnerable Perrie looked, the happier the press were, as her pain made a better story.
"Are you ready?" Perrie asked when the car was stopped, Jade parking in the disabled space close to the door. The hospital had fast tracked a blue badge for Perrie due to her mobility issues and fatigue, though if she improved back to where she was it would be revoked.
Jade reached over to undo her seatbelt and waited for Perrie to do hers before she reached over for the woman's pale hand. It was the same size as her own tan one, though unlike Jade who had bare nails, Perrie was wearing sparkly blue nail varnish.
"Not gonna lie, I'm shitting myself." Jade smiled and Perrie laughed at her response.
"Me too." the blonde agreed, and stroked the back of Jade's hand lovingly.
"But I'm really excited. We've been talking about this for a while and I've been so desperate for the reunion, but today it finally becomes official."
"We waited a good amount of time. Each of us has found her own style and confidence, but we didn't wait so long that we got too old or our fans lost interest." Perrie agreed.
Jade huffed at her girlfriend's words. "The Mixers? Losing interest in us?" she questioned, making Perrie blush at her own words.
"Let's just go." she decided and let go of the older woman's hand.
Jade quickly got out of the car and went around to get Perrie's door. Leaning out of the car sometimes triggered the blonde's dizziness so they agreed that she would wait for Jade to let her out.
Perrie used the door handle to support her weight when she stood up, and they waited a few seconds to ensure that she was stable. She let go of the handle and moved out of the way, which allowed Jade to shut the door and lock the car.
Hand in hand they entered the studio building, together for the first time since the hiatus began. Perrie reached forward to press the lift button. The studio room they had booked was on the sixth floor so they used the lift to get up there and walked down the corridor to the familiar room.
"They're here!" Kamille cheered when Jade opened the door, and everyone stopped what they were doing to run over to the happy couple.
"Now that you're both here, we are officially back!" Leigh-Anne squealed as she wrapped one arm around each Geordie and pulled them down for a hug. Neither of them fought it, they were both so happy for the first day of the Little Mix reunion. Even if they had wanted to, Leigh was so strong that neither woman would have been able to break out of her hold.
Only a few staff were in the room, the girls having asked for a minimal team today. They were planning on showing their songs to Kamille and recording some unofficial demos. Nothing would be professionally recorded today so only a couple of other songwriters were there.
